All right, able to get new .X files in game with hardponts, however the texture files do not show up, used combinations of png and dds, model is just lit with a generic white filler, looking in deepX the format is the same as in game models, what settings do you recommend for panda Xporter or through deepX?
second problem is that after placing 4 engines or 3 weapons the model disapears and no hardpoints are visible, though if the ship is saved it shows up correctly when built, however since upgrading clears the hardpoints this doesn't help, only so many modules can be placed
also wondering if the mesh naming means anything, and how subobjects are handled (when the ship blew up the main object moved, but the others stood still, should textures be assigned by mesh selection and material ids or are seperate objects in the mesh acceptable
