write out xml files per turn, generate a public/private key for verification of no tampering, and let people write web games around it
personally as a 50 hour a week workslave, I have limited time to play games, having a game where turns are day long or more makes a lot of sense for me, I can log in after work, plan and decide for 15 minutes and make my moves and then go make dinner etc, I'll still play the single player game because I can save easily, but I don't have time to do a long drawn out multiplayer game online like some people do (mostly the <18 crowd)
