Middle Mouse Button - Camera Control

I own a Logitech MX1000 mouse, and for some time i noticed issues with middle mouse button not working in 'certain' games, it seems Gal Civ 2 is one of them...

now fo most games its not prob as i can keybind to other buttons on mouse etc but Gal Civ 2 has no camera control so i cant bind a alternate button.

if anyone knows of work around i will be very greatfull, thanks
