This is one of the biggest questions I still have: How EXACTLY do all of the mining starbases effect their respective statistic?
When you send a constructor to put a mine over a resource, you then are able to click on that mine and see its "sphere of influence" the same as if it were a military base. My question is this: If I put a mine over...lets say a research node, does that sphere of influence need to be touching a planet in order to have any effect? (which would increase that particular planet's research output by the mine's stated percentage increase) OR... does that research bones of 2%,5%, 7% etc.. get applied to every planet you own regardless of its geographich position relative to the mine? (aka its sphere of influence)
If so, then under the details section of every planet, there should exist a subsiquent percentage modifier for whatever relevant bonus you may have from any mines you have active.
The manual is rather vague on this point, hence the question. ALSO.. since there exists nodes for other things such as the military resource, how exactly does mining those effect your empire? Are those solely for ground troops, or do all ships created in your empire have some bonus effect (hit points?) or maybe just the planets that produce troops and ships within that military mine's sphere of influence?
Lastly, what about influence and morale nodes? Do those suddenly begin to act like influence starbases, or do they only contribute their bonus to any planet inside its sphere, and the morale.. does it get added to all planets or just the ones within its sphere?
I am going to go back and read the documentation one more time. Hopefully I will find something I missed the first couple times I went over it. I just thought I would ask here to see what the rest of you may have seen first hand with regard to the bonuses being added locally or empire wide.
