While playing the first scenario of the campaign game I found that I needed a special ship (or component as I found out later) to search the anomalies. I saw that in one of the available research subject it mentioned the ship I wanted. However it also said that 4 more research subjects were also needed to be researched. It didn't say which ones though.

Is there a way to search the tech tree and find them other than clicking and reading each subject?

Alternative is there a feature that I click, let's say "Star Fury" and I get all the research subjects that if researched will lead me to the ability to build Star Fury?
