Trouble with Mods in Dark Avatar

I just purchased Dark Avatar over the weekend. I've been looking forward to trying some mods that were developed for the DA beta, which I did not have. However, I can't get any mods to work under DA. When I start up DA, it points to the mod folder under the original GC2 directory. I don't know if this is right or now. I've tried picking the B5 mod, the Star Trek mod, even the Example mod, and none of them have any effect. When I restart DA, it still shows the standard races. I'm sure that I've probably just missed something. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'd suggest first off editing My Documents\My Games\GC2DarkAvatar\prefs.ini and changing the ModsDir= line to point at a new mods folder under DA's location, rather than the original game's. Other than that, you should at least get *some* effect from the mods, even if they don't work entirely properly from not being updated for DA final. Do make sure you've actually got the 'enable mods' option on as well, just to be sure
