The ALBINO ship!

I finally caught this guy with a screenie!

I finally got the screenie of this shipdesigner "albino" thing. It's random in appearance and for some reason disappears if you exit, and is just normal if you save etc.

Even odder is the orange spots that show right and the blue on the phasors that show correctly, as well as the fact that the engines are greyscale too.

All of my ships always look like that.







Possibly something to do with my colour choices on my custom race.

This happens to me about 10% of the time, and I use a custom race with different colors as well.

I don't always get it when upgrading an existing ship. Custom race here as well with my own colors.

Always happens for me on the 1st new ship or upgrade I do after starting the game. The other quirk I've noticed is my battle animations speed up after time (1st times they are slow and stuttering, after a couple of battles, they are smooth and as fast as I need). I have a 5200 vid card so that may have something to do with it.

i've seen this too.

i get it sometimes when upgrading a design, but not every time. seems random.

harmless, too... just weird.

Nope, it's not. My ships look exactly like they are when built/deployed excepting the hardpoints and their visibility. This for me is rather random in occurrence, since it happens roughly 7% of the time for me. And it's also a bit odd, since my colors are dark grays.
