Serial Number

I bought my copy of GCII in the US. The game installs fine off the CD. I've downloaded Stardock central. I then try to download the game patch but it tells me my Serial number is "invalid". Am I missing something? I've emailed support but haven't heard back yet. I can't download 1.0X because of hte "invalid" serial number.

Things that are not the cause of the problem:
- It is not the collectors addition.
- It is not a european copy with messed up serial #s.
- I am able to read and copy the serial # correctly.


Suggestions?

Just expanding the information:

If you are in Europe, have the English retail box from Paradox and only have a serial number beginning with "GC2-" then click here to obtain the correct serial number

If you have purchased the Italian version then click here to obtain a fixed serial number (the Italian distributer only printed part of the serial number).

If you do not fall into one of the above categories and are having problems with registering your serial number please send an email to me at pford@stardock.com (please include your email address, nickname, serial number and describe the error you are receiving).
