Mouse scrolling/rotating "sticks"

Window mode anomaly

When playing the game in windowed mode, if you're scrolling the map by grabbing and dragging it with the mouse, if you drag outside the game window, the mouse will "stick" in dragging mode, even if you're not holding the left mouse button anymore.

The same thing happens with rotating the map. If you drag outside the game window (and onto your desktop) while you have the middle mouse button down, the mouse will stick in rotate mode even if you let go of the middle mouse button.

When you left click on the map, the sticky behavior stops.

I was going to make this post last night, but the behavior stopped--but now it's back again. So it might be an intermittent thing...

The issue you describe might be unavoidable, as once you're outside the window, you're effectively outside the "boundary" that has been allocated to the game.

I'd suggest running the game at the same resolution as your desktop. This way, you get benefits from both a full screen size and running in a window.

I will forward this to the developers to see if it's something they can look into. I've seen games that keep the mouse cursor constrained within the window dimensions while the game has focus.

Trick is, can you guys add resolutions that take the full width, and ALMOST all of the height, leaving just enough pixels at the bottom to display the task bar? I use this ti chat with my gf while playing. . . and 1280x960 ALMOST cuts it

That said, yeah, any game tends to have this error unless they 'grab' the mouse back, but this can be annoying, if you want to go click something else. Ya learn to control your mouse swings, after awhile

I tested that, and running at the resolution of my display is just like full screen (no window titles or boundaries), except that you can't minimize the game at all to get access to your desktop.

Running the game in full-screen mode at least minimizes it when you hit the "Windows" key.

Anyhow, the main reason I like(d) to run in a window is that I hate edge scrolling! I'm always scrolling when I don't mean to.

Is there any way edge scrolling could be made into an Interface option so players who don't like it can turn it off?

EDIT: Oh wait, setting the edge scroll speed to 0 disables it!
