Your Stardock.net account is used here by the forums, in Stardock Central, on other Stardock sites, and also to manage your Metaverse characters.  "One account to rule them all."

Your account can have up to THREE characters tied to it.  Most people will have only 1 but this way, if you have multiple people in your family playing the game (my son plays for instance) they can use a character.

If you've already pre-loaded, you should be able to go to the Metaverse and Manager Characters.  You will need your serial # to create another character.

If you have any problems, let us know.

Mystic, I have no idea what happend in regards to this. Empire ID 54, Pirates Of The Forgotton Blue (http://metaverse.galciv2.com/index.aspx?g=empire&id=54 Link), belongs to another user (Soulfire777).

No, I created that empire while I was under the influence of the bug where the system was showing me Soulfire777's characters. I'd like to have that empire back, please.

I'll email Soulfire777 to confirm that he did not create that empire. Once he replies and confirms that he didn't create it, we'll hand it over to you.

It's not at all that we dont belive you, but we have to play it safe to keep the peace I'm sure you can understand.

dj-LiTh - I can see both of your players in the database and the site assigned to you. The same for the empire you created.

Also, as I've tried to ask a bunch of times already, please don't use vague words like 'gone'. We need to know exactly what you mean, otherwise we cant help you.

Here is how I reproduce my problem:

I go to http://metaverse.galciv2.com/index.aspx. (I am already logged in).
I go to the Account link at the top, and select "Edit my characters".
I click "Add Player".
I enter a player name "Finster" and copy and paste my serial number from Stardock Central (purchased using TGN).
I click Add Character and I then get this IE scripting error:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/kinryuu/metaverseError.jpg
Then, I get a message on the website that says: "The serial number you have entered is not valid, or has not been activated. Please try again or contact support."

Interestingly enough, I created an empire, and it appears to have worked just fine.

Please email me the serial number you are attempting to use to create a character and we'll have a look.

Go to GCII. Login. No problems
Click Metaverse. No problems
It wants me to login again like it forgot who I was when I went from GCII home to Metaverse.
I login in... It ignores my login and presents the same screen again.

I am using my TGN SN

The metaverse seems fine for me now also...
Except for when I finished a metaverse game, when trying to post the score, I'm told "Your serial number does not match that of the metaverse server." I checked the serial I have on Stardock Central and the one used to create the character on the metaverse and they both match so I'm not sure what that's all about.

Hmmm...I played a Medium game that I started using metaverse downloaded conditions. After finishing and submitting it, the game shows in profile but is not counted in rankings. Does this mean that custom races created using the program do not count as metaverse friendly?

Edit: nevermind, it seems the metaverse is very slow to update.

Ignore above post (edit seems laggy too). The score finally updated after a 10 minute lag.

Noxin, it appears that you had started the game with your TotalGaming Serial number.  And then later updated to your GalCiv2 serial.  Because of this conflict is why you received the error.

Your next game should submit properly if the serial number is not change.  Lets us if it does not.

I have been having the same problem as Noxin. When I try posting the score, the serial number does not match error comes up. My character name is UMOarsman. Can you work whatever magic you worked for him?

Other than that, great work with the game! woo hoo!

Quick question, completed a game last night, w/ 9 civs, one a medium size universe (god was that cramped!), and won the game. I thought my scores were uploaded to the Metaverse, but apparently they weren't. Is there something I have to do after I win to make sure my scores are sent up? (yes, I have an account, and my character shows up when I go to the metaverse screen, but it shows no games played and no score)

I am dillegently working on the serial number issues at the moment, please be patient and await a follow up post on that particular issue.

Noxin - The metaverse website uses caching technology to maintain the server's sanity. You will experience this in many places.

Please attempt to post your games to the metaverse if you were previously having serial number issues. If you continue to have issues please post another reply detailing the issue again.

I have two problems.

1) My empire statistics in-game continue to read "Not in an Empire" even though I created one. I'm not sure why this is. I've refreshed about a bazillion times.

2) I just submitted a game, and the Metaverse says "cheat codes detected". I have no idea what the cheat codes are, nor how to activate them. Could something else be causing this?

I've had the same error as others but I am unclear on how to reslove it . The error is 13 - Your game submission was rejected because the application serial number does not match the serial number on the Metaverse server. Would you like to try posting you results again.

To which I have answered yes multiple times with no result. Reloaded the endgamesave, same result.

This is gonna sound silly, but I have now played two games, and 18 hours and both games have had trouble submitting. First was because I stupidly didn't realize that I had to start up the game under the Metaverse tab to have it be submittable. Chalk that one up to a lesson learned. I'd really like to be able to submit and not start over from scratch to do it

What info would help you help me, Andrew?

I just had the same problem, and I didn't use any cheat codes.

I thought of something. dajaxx, did you have Tech Research set higher than average? I think that might be what set it off, because that could skew the speed with which one wins.

The follow-up question, of course, is How was I supposed to know that? Magic? It sure isn't in the manual.

I don't have so much a problem, as a quirk I've noticed.

I've played two Metaverse games so far, both as the Altarians. Yet my game data screen (Link) shows both as Arcean. Furthermore, my "medals" show as Human.

A fairly minor thing (since all the rest of the data is correct and submitted fine), but a little odd nonetheless.

Peace & Luv, Liz

I also just ran into the cheat codes detected thing.
I didn't use any and it had no problem submitting the score, however the metaverse now tells me I used some during that game.
