The number 1 tip is wait tell you have a group of 6 or so, and hit 1 planet with them allat once. As you notice placing 1 at a time does not work. They get ousted within a couple of turns. Placing 6 or so, at once, they turf a couple out, but the rest remain until you have maximum level intel on that enemy. They are also useful to place on a farm prior to invasion. A little bio warfare to thin the troops before invasion is useful. Never really explored much more with them so

Talk about stupid. I forgot I'm in Yor space. Seems silly to restrict speed of a trade ship wanting to do business in Yor space though. I will punish the Yor severely for this embarrassment.

My upgraded ships only can move 3 sectors even though they are rated speed 21. Same ship built from planet is speed 21. Is this a Nerf, Bug or feature? Did I miss a vote or something? This happened two seperate ships designs. A constructor speed 10 and a trader speed 21. Both only move speed 3. Using the latest build that I am aware of for DA v1.61

I could beat DL in my sleep I have played so many games. Once you know how to win at the highest level you cannot help following the same patterns and strategy's. DA got me thinking again. Need things to keep changing to keep playing. I love the updates, the nerfs, the changes, anything to keep me thinking new strategy. Once you figure out how to win a game at the highest level consistently you usually move on to a new game. This game just keeps on evolving.

If your having a problem with memory leakage do you have to exit the game completely and come back in or can you just reload a save game form within the game?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice with no fix. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Maybe I need step by step because I'm an idiot instructions. I cannot find DA on my list of installed programs just the GC2. So I unistalled by highlighting the game at SDC and clicking uninstall. That takes very short time. I then click intall from SDC. Play with my 360 while I wait an hour for it redownload. It says its installed. I launch the game. Get to galaxy setup screen. Choose next and crash.

I’m 45. Wife thinks I spend too much of my time gaming. I tell her if I let the Drengin take over the galaxy, she’ll be sorry. When robot man says a few more turns would not hurt, I look in my wife’s eyes and I know robot man is very, very wrong. I still manage to play a few hours 2 or 3 times a week. She has her own hobbies that keep her busy and I encourage them at all costs. Ms. Pacman was my favorite arcade game. Mainly because it was in my favorite pub and we cou

When you’re in a weak position they demand tribute, from your cheese eating monkey self. When you have got all the power they pay you "gifts" to your benevolent wise leadership. It is a random event but it depends on your comparative military rating as who pays and who recieves.

I am very thankful for the feature of being able to upgrade ships in space. Can you imagine upgrading a large number of ships by bringing them back to planets. Putting 10 of them at a time into port. Upgrade them, then re-launch. Move the next 10 in. So on and so forth. Nothing fun about that. The current time delay system seems like a darn reasonable compromise to me. I'll take smooth game flow over to realistic any day.

Maybe you are flagged as a cheater because [gasp] you're a cheater. Yeah, that is why he is bringing it to everyones attention. Lord Loz, hopefully you can get this resolved before you waist anytime on your next game. I understand your frustration.

I to have noticed getting ships from the newly conquered planet and assumed Mumble's explanation was what was happening. I'll pre-scout my next invasion and see if I can tell what's happening. I do recall being able to finish a ship in the current que, that you had not even researched yet, when you conquered a planet in GalCiv1. Once completed it was no longer available, but you got the ship. So the code to get the industrial credit on invasion has been around a long time.

A save game prior to starting a war is always prudent. Does the game still have the "galactic aggressor response"? Where If you take out 1 to many races everyone decides to attack you as an agressor? That is the main reason I have been leaving minors alone. Have not noticed since 1.3. Now all you have to do is park a transport within a sector of any race you want war with and they declare war on you.

Was this a 1 one 1 game? If it was a 1 on 1 game and the planet count after rush is 2 to 30, I would say you have little chance and playing it out won't be much fun. If there were multipul opponents you could go the diplomancy and influence route to eventually win. Also what you can do is save the "start turn" on a tough game like that and work on your rush strategy's. Try different things and see if you can get a better result.

+ Tweaks to make money not too hard to get early on but not as easy to get ridiculous levels of money later on (though expert players will still be able to do this). You do need ridiculous amounts of money to upgrade ships. But money early is most important. So does that mean early money is harder, easier or the same? Mumble, if we had t

I have posted this before but I agree, the constructor phase is the most boring part of the game. I would rather they were like planets once established and you could just spend money to improve. I get it over with as soon as possible. Max out my mining bases for extraction only. I build very few econ bases around my key planets. Tech capital, manu cap and econ cap and maybe a few when I can build a econ to cover multipul planets. Econs only help you spend money, not bank it. I build my

I never bother wasting constructors on weapons and defense techs. I just max my mines extraction capabilities. Max econ bases econ and trade bonuses. The same follows for influence bases. I find the constructor stage incredibly boring and want it over with as soon as possible. Starbases are no match for max'd out fleet in a war anyway so building them up for other then their primary purpose is a waist of time. I can park a fleet on them if it is that important to me. Rarely do
