I always attack transports 1st, fleeted or not. There the only thing that can take a planet and really hurt you. I avoid direct attaks on purely military fleets unless I need to in order to protect my own assets. Never really noticed the AI's pattern as my goal is to take the enemy planets as quickly as possible without fighting every fleet in his armada.
Evil Druid
I think the AI is quite good at picking whom it surrenders to. Pick the worst possible option for you and that 9/10 times is whom it surrenders to. Which is why it is so frustrating. I always pick my fights with the strongest AI first. If you fight a weaker opponent they will inevitably surrender to the strongest. All your doing is making your enemy super power stronger. I
Good, bad, anything?
Here is my idea. Have a "Fleet by Class" Rally point option. I like to keep my transports and my Military ships in separate fleets. In rally point management it would be great if the game would have a "Fleet by Class" option along with current "Normal" and "Fleet" options. Sort the constructors, transports and military automatically into there own separate fleets within the same Rally Point. Save a lot of time sorting when you want them separate.
My theory is the new Galactic Aggressor response is responsible for less wars. If your to aggressive all the AI's declare war on you. Makes me think twice before I go to war unprovoked. The AI's are showing the same concern. My last game the Yor triggered an aggressor response and all the AI's including me jumped on them until they surrendered. I now use alliance strategy's to to get me into wars and avoid the Aggressor response and it seems to work.
Afternoon Da Moose. How goes the hunt?
My bet would be a bug as Marcanthonas suggested, the AI isn't initiating properly for some reason. Not one ship other then what they were given at the beginning is not normal at any level. It has been described by others as well.
Afternoon Moose. Does anyone else notice that posts they make here sometimes disappear?
I'd like to see ship specific rally points assignment in the goveners screen. example: All planets building constructors send them to rally 218 All planets building fighter mk5 send them to rally 219 or All transports head to rally to 220 Instead just the option for all ships head to 220 you could select a specific ship design to head to a rally point that meets a need. The rally point system is miles better now
Well I always give in to demands for cheese. There usually quite reasonable when you consider you have zero military at that point and as they like to point out, they could crush you like a bug. Not bragging, just saying, of course. Sure they like to rub it in, but they often move up there relations with you a notch after the concession. Afterwards I make sure I have an extra trade route or two with the aggressor. Making you more valuable to them. When you go to the race r
Agree, my new version scores are so much lower then the 1st I'm headed the wrong direction in the verse. Still some people playing the old version posting the huge scores I noticed.
Yeah , it's so intuitive I'm surprised you asked. To leave you click the the "Join Empire button" on your empire main page. As if that would not be the obvious correct move. This brings up your characters with the option to leave the empire button beside the character. Only took me 15 minutes to figure out.
I'd like to see how the game would play without them as well. I find the initial constructor build phase very time consuming and not very exciting. I'd rather be building a military fleet for action. I don't really have a balance problem with them, just a time to build them problem. I'm getting off topic but I wish instead of having to build 30 constructors to build 1 starbase you only needed 1 constructor and then built the rest of the base the same way you build up a planet, through
What i was doing in the earlier version was buying the alien transports. Which depleted the planets of defenders. Then upgraded them to Combat transports that could get through the enemy planet defences. Attacking the next turn. Destroying an entire race with their own transports in two turns with not even sending a warship to their part of the galaxy. Oh, for the good old days.

When the Robot man says, "a few more turn's won't hurt", but by the look in your wife's eye's you know robot man is horribly wrong.
Woot! I have taken the first few turns with the update. What I have seen so far is s-o-o-o great! Especially appreciated so far: The destination points and paths for your ships onscreen so you can se
My wife has taken to standing over me around midnight to watch me turn off the game. The robot guy keeps saying a few more turns won't hurt, but by look in wife's eyes, I think the robot guy is sadly mistaken.
Hey Peace as the resident math wiz. What's your opion on the new scoring formula? How do you see it effecting game play? Warning: The Moose is on the loose all weekend. Hide your buns.
I don't know if this really helps you but I always click the the specialize in production button in the planets screen on a new planet. It goes from "never" to 38 years for the 1st factory. Better then never. I just think the population is to low to register any production for a few turns.
Frogboy, when do you figure you'll be turning over the keys to your rocket car over to Miborovsky? 2015? . If you keep creating the worlds to play in, all keep playing in them.
give him one of your ships/planets, then attack that ship/planet. That's why I read these forums. Something so simple, yet escapes me. Frustrating to be moving your fleet to your last victim and all of a sudden the game ends with a cultural.
Bull Winkle? Is that you?
What's really amazing about this game is that the releases are not just about fixing bugs people have found. It's about adding new features that we the gamers have suggested. Top players even submitted how they were beating the AI's at the top level and the AI's are being changed to counter the tactics. This will prolong the games shelf life by providing new challenges. There are amazing things happening here that far out way the odd bug. Ge
My games take way to long without purposely dragging it out. More of a challenge to shorten game time then to lengthen it. I agree the score should reflect that.
