I noticed something similar. You can put more on when you upgrade a basic design, than if you choose to make from new.

BTW I am curius about which minors are capable of at least defending them selves or actualy to take over planets I cant find the info - please help

In some of my latest games I have chosen a minor - like akillians - and gave them a few planets. If I could reach the homeplanet i would start taking that lovely q15 planet first and give them a few planets in my backyard as a peaceoffer. After a few techs and lot of the TRADE-routes its soon forgotten and we are friends ever after. Now they are usefull - allthough they are not able to colonize, they can easily take worlds by force and as my

In my present game on huge with 9 opponents and abubdant stars and planets I am going to make capital ships in year 2029, where all techs are researched. we are down to 4 players and all hate me. I plan to keep most of remaining small vessels in fleets with 2 huge ships. I like the look in battles and by now most of them have increased their hitpoins from 16 to 50-60 during the wars until now. Then the combination will be deadly in my experience to th

I agree that the AI is getting better from at start beeing much better than other games liv civ 4. The last patch have made try masochistic again from playing obscene or suicidal. On very large maps and vith abundant planets. I feel the intelligent AI allmost as another player. It makes mistakes, but so do I. I too have tried to send a troopship, because i had no escort and there was no time to loose and found that i had miscalculated. Generally w

In theori the solution sounds simple, I havent had much luck buying other civs ships without tremendeus overpay. I am playing a similar game in masochistic huge common stars abundant planets and abundant habituable, where I am Neutral. I could maintain peace until the AI started to research influence too. After that the Torians have taken the lead and are controlling half the galaxy. At this point they are hostile and wont make any deals and the

I never took notice of their spelling. After all - most of them are aliens anyway. From a Danish view, I can only say that that I find that the dialog could be improved, but iI am happy that they concentrate on getting the gameplay right before anything else. My english could be improved though

I still dont see how I can get a decent score on the metaverse. Even if I play on gigantic suicidal; I only get like 11000 to 30000 on a game. I play with rare stars. occasional planets, occasional habitable( My computer told me to ) Would it help to get a smaller galaxy, but with 3*abundant? I dont like to have a gameplay of more than 15 to 20 years at max Anyone who have seen the

I have a problem using rallypoints , because i just dont see a way to make my ships gather in the right formation I want to have warships gathered in fleets as they come in just behind the frontline, and i want to have Ships with troopers to gather in a different fleet. Can anyone explain this to me. I am playing on gigantic maps with 9 opponents on suicidal, so it would really help to have those rallypoints functioning <img src="smile

Well, I know it is just unincluded content, but when you can research the tech without getting anything from it, which I did, it is a BUG. Not a big one, but it is a bug.

You are right, it is for those among us who embrace evil. The reason I asked was because it doesn't say where it affects, it probably affects all planets, but what I really wanted to know was, how MUCH it increases military production. And although it does say so in every single description I've read yet, it does not say so in this particular case, which was why I asked.

I've noticed exactly the same thing. It kind of pissed me off in the first game, but I haven't been neutral since. I had thought it got fixed along with the lack of good defense techs, but it didn't. I assume it will be fixed for the up-comming patch.

I've got a few questions that has been bothering me for some time: FIrst of, does anyone know exactly what bonus the Artificial Slave Center gives you? I know, military production, but how much, and is it THAT planet or all planets? Also, am I missing something or is there a reason why people are not uploading those great ship designs they have shown off and bragged about?

I've got a few questions that has been bothering me for some time: FIrst of, does anyone know exactly what bonus the Artificial Slave Center gives you? I know, military production, but how much, and is it THAT planet or all planets? Secondly how come no one is uploading those cool ship designs!?!?!? Help a fellow uncreative player out!!! Thirdly I would have asked where the search function was, but I just found it... <b

Although the AI still makes a lot of stupid mistakes, I'd still say it is much better than what you see in most games. In my first game I almost lost at intelligent, and now I'm only barely able to win most of the time on crippling, and that is with the AI mistakes being made. When the AI learns to use starbases, to improve it's speed and how to manage it's planets I think it will be pretty challenging. Besides, the way it cheats is not as a

I've read the previews, and when they talk of the new need to specialize planets they mention the possibility of creating "breadbasket" planets that can "supply you with food".. So is there actually food in the game or was it simply a reference to having planets generate money, which some previewers misunderstood when they read someone elses review.
