yes do a search for window on the forum and you can find a link named Running GCII in a window WWW Link Hopefully the hyperlink work, first time trying to do it on this forum software

I just had this happen to a game I was just in with a stock ship. I upgraded my fast cargo ship to the basic colony ship. (Usually cheaper then my short range basic colony ship). my range was a lot shorter than the previous ship upgraded from even though it had more life support. So I upgrade the stock colony ship and change the name was all I did to upgraded the shortened range colony ship to the same style. The range was extended at that time and I could colony my distant planet but
I can usually rename but not edit a name. I would like to be able to edit the name since I name my starbases with there mining amount, type and or econ level so I can tell on the mini-map if I need to send a constructor to it for upgrade
correction 3rd tab (report)
I had noticed this behaviour somewhat before but it was only an annoyance. When looking at the diplomacy screen before meeting any one it shows one of the races out there with some info. it show terran, I am playing korx This version it locked up on me when I tried to scroll to a new race on the 2nd tab. The program is sitting there in windowed mode using up any available cpu cycle Partial debug.err Debug Message: Iconian Refuge (9): Researching: Enhanced Logis
Terraforming before anything else is I think due to the fact the the default for each planet is to terraform tiles when terraforming tech is researched. If the AI (or human) does not provide or adjust the planet build it will terraform has a high priority. Not sure this classifies as a bug but more of a oversight in the AI
I think one more item in this issue was that I had CTRL-N the game before trying the CTRL-S and unlike in earlier versions it did not ask for a metaverse login for each recreated game with CTRL-N
esc to bring up options and then video tab
Went and tried to recreate the issue. I tried a small map and it appeared to work fine and tried a giant map and it worked fine, so I don't know what happened. The only thing I can think of right now is if a save game for a metaverse game needs to do a internet check. I have sporadic outages where I cannot connect to metaverse and then I try again after the time out and it works. Just a setup issue on this laptop. Oh well guess I will get a new game started up again and hopefully m
Downloaded the new beta and set up a game. GOt a percursor mine on the homeworld which was nice so I decided to save the game before I did very much, moved the survey ship and create a few ship designs. Save game is taking about 5 minutes now and is still going. Running in full screen and it usually crashes when I leave the window and try to come back so I am letting it go for a bit.
I second that since I play on a laptop without a external mouse and my touchpad goes a little haywire (maybe from the heat) but at least I have a stick as well that can help. I have a little problem occasionaly that when I click the button by the touchpad, the cursor moves so my double click does not work. Keyboard shortcuts are usually always good to have
I cam across a potential bug, but I don't have time right now to explore it. I purchased a ship from a AI earlier and used it for some exploring. Exploring is done so it is time to start upgrading my few purchased ships from the AI. I only had one of this class of ship but when I went to the upgrade screen it gave me the option to upgrade 48 of the ships. I did not do that at that time. However I am wondering if this is the case in that I am actually upgrading the AI ships or if I am spendi
in 1.3 beta this is still the practice of the orbital terraformer. I would like to know if it is truly intended to only open tiles but not to improve planet quality. If so it decreases the value of this achivement a lot. On this game I was able to get the terraforming techs early due to tech trading and thought I would use the orbital terraformer to do all my terraforming for me and not spend the bc and time doing the individual terraforming. I was not planning on going neutral either.
one way to find ships to move is to sort your ship list by moves lefts. I usually do this early in a game so I can effeicently explore and seelct anomly for my survey ships. However once fleets come into the picture it messes up this system since the individual fleet ships and the fleet show up in the list and the individual ships in the fleet may not move to the bottom of the list when the fleet had moved
I will go ahead and add this one here as well as of 1.30(b).016 there are the following items in PlanetImprovements.xml Some of these might have been removed by stardock but would of been better to be commented in the xml if they are not to be used Galactic Monument requires tech StarFederation tech is named StarFed Nano Recorders requires tech Sensor2 Pain Amplifiers requires tech Medical Theory tech is missing Anti-matter Power Plant requires tech Anti-

Ships repair much faster in orbit and also will sometimes repair to better than new (original hps was 10 and was damaged to 4/10. A couple of turns at the planet it may come out at 12/10
I have seen these sometimes and just role-played that it was a AI graveyard of old ships
I had one like this too. Rare stars rare planets rare hab and the largerst galaxy size with 9 races. ended up with 1 system for each player, some got the extra planet in the system. I have one system for each primary race and the minors were stuck in a corner. 5 minors in a 5 -class 15 planet system
I think there is a option to allow all battles to be shown as fleet battles. See if this does what you are looking for
Can the AI be prevented to some extent, I know there are times when it would be impossible, to avoid building super projects, etc. on special tiles. I have a current game where I captured a planet from the torians and they built a tech capital over a food square I would like to use but I can't now. From what I have seen on the forums none of these type projects will benefit from a special tile. Unless it is via a scorched earth type policy to lock up the tiles to make them unuseabl
in a game I recently played. The torians built diplomatic translators. I took the planet so got the rights to sell them. This apparently included the rights to sell them back to the original builder. If a race can trade for permament rights for a trade good, shouldn't they be able to keep the rights for them when they build them?
Just noticed something else in AbilityBonus.xml. There are two loyalty entries but availableoptions is set to 1 in this. However setting this to 2 currently might break the use of the custom race
I was doing some analysis on the race config file and notice several issues in it. 1. This is minor I think. Korx, Thalan, Icononin do not have a morale entry 2. The Minor race Akilians have several extra abilities, all other minors are equivalent (at zero and 4 logistics) 3. Some races gain innate bonuses, this occurs when the ability amount is not an amount that is defined in AbilityBonus.xml (Logisitcs + is based on most minor races at 4) Terrans:Trade +25, Dipl
You can always buy a frieghter from another race. Then I take it takes your homeworld as its home
