Apparently, from what I read above, the issue is "fairness." For fariness to be evaluated, you have to have a goal that all are trying to achieve, otherwise "fairness" has no meaning. What is fair for one goal, may not be fair for another goal. So, what is the goal of the Metaverse? It is obvioualy more than just scores, as SD has rejected the idea of just adding the scores as not fair. Observed in my last game, that when you exit a battle scene before it is over when attacking a not fleet ship in orbit, the explosion on the planet occurs on a planet 1 or 2 sectors away from the planet you are attacking. Wierd!

Well, it appears that Stardock recalculated yet again - to include scores that had been missed in the 1.1 betas. But, they sent the other scores that had already been corrected through again and lowered them more. One can now say that the Meta scores are totally messed up. Almost worth a reset and start over.

Why do some of my scores now have decimal equivalent of repeating fractions instead of whole numbers. There are about 10 scores that are decimal numbers out to 8 or so places.

Minors are good for three things: 1) Early in the game you can get techs that you haven't researched for cheap. Sometime they steal all the techs of a major and you can pick them up cheap. 2)Trade with them when they are in your sector so that when you are at war with the majors you don't lose all your trade income. Just played a gigantic obscene game and the Darth had 3 700% research squares. They had completed the total reasearch tree half way through the game. Had tech and influence victories turned off.

So what is the conclusion? Is it broken or not. Minturization creates more space, but also components increase in size so it is not a linear fit for more modules. You get some more, but not as many as you woulld expect.

Why do you feel it is a bug? A random event does random things. If you don't like them, make them rare.

Even more interesting is that the Meta says I have played the game, 40 games played, 38 wins. But, the last number of the list of games is 39. So, the game is missing, but the count was not updated. The games were at least renumbered properly. Just another Meta glitch.

I see where my poisened game from 1.2 beta 1 has disappeared, but my racial victory medal is still there. Maybe I should play another alien game to ensure it stays.

Norad is correct. Win a game playing each of the races. It is not clear if you have play custom to get the medal since everyone who has sone had played custom before they started out on this quest.

Since there is an indicator that the score is anomolus and the version of the game is posted, seems to be to be relatively trivial (not necessarily easy, but trivial) to write a script to remove cheat code and then in the periodic recalc it would count. Of course, I am not sure the the recalc sthat started some time ago is even complete <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif"

Thanks, I don't know if you have to place the custom race to get the racial victory medal. I have played custome before I started with the others. My problem is that I play them all the same way and I should have tried to focus on their strengths.

Good morning Diplos. I got my all races victory medal - even though the last race was done under 1.2 Beta and flagged with cheat codes - hopefully that will get corrected. Apprently the medal doesn't care if the cheat codes are flagged.

Well, when you only have to check this thread once a week to read the same "Good Morning" from Damoose 5 times, it certainly is not like GC1

Outstanding set of suggestions from everyone and thanks to Startdock for listening. Nothing worse than haveing the map yank out from under you to move to a ship with moves left just as you click and the ship wyo were going to sent into battle goes the opposite direction, or worse, right into the fray when you wanted to escape. CarElf is a goddess.

What I have notices is that not many people post here period. Not like the old GC1 forums. The Core is a better place anyway. cheers, diplomats and good morning.
