I agree that the farm bonus tiles exert too strong an influence on morale. Especially when the AI seems to be able to use them by themselves with no degradation in morale (100% approval with 3 farms or 1 or 2 in bonus tiles and no morale building improvements)

Actually, there is a link between the two. Man and Res are based on %funding, but funding is based on income, which is partially determined by taxes, which is based on population.

Can still get over 100K and higher. You need more population, most games that are at 100K or higher have over 2.x T population. You also need to start building military as early as possilbe since that componet socre is bassed totally on the military rating. Max spending on Tech for higher Tech score. Cash is not what builds the econ score, otherwise you could save yourself to a good score.

64K points more. The MV discounts individual scores by the forumula posted over at the CORE, so the MV score for any indiviidual is score will be less than what you get from the game itself. Goor monring Diplomats. Its Monday - but don't let that bother you.

Hey guys, get the program from SDC and it will capture the exception and the err.log, etc. in a zipped file, which can the be email to SDC. It even gives you a copy and past function so you don't have to type the address or the version. Reading this stuff in a forum is not a good idea. I am getting CTDs in the end game of 1.31, appears to be related to decommissioning items from the planet map that you don't want after you capture a planet.

80K points to first place. Dropped in a 72K point game today. Gigantic Masso. Next game move up. I think I have the 1.3 figured out now. BUT, I am getting CTD in 1.31 at end game when trying to decommision stuff on the AI plantes I capture. Sent in a couple of error logs.

Congrats, V. Be sure to have your new character join the Diplomats so the score will count. Each charater can technically belong to differnt empires, but this is frowned upon by most empires.

Good morning Diplomats. Submitted a BOOM-ZAP last night. My 300+ planets against 6 for the AI. They sat their and collected bellybutton lint, thinking it was a trade good.

I have had this event in GC I, but not in GC II. But, in either case, this type of event is really an "abort play" type of event and should be removed. The assination is fine, but the flooding of the map with tiny ships adds nothing to the game. Now, if instead of millins of tiny ships, add a fleet of super powerful ones, that could be interesting where you might have to use up several of your best fleets to destroy the private army. I find that the minimap sometimes becomes drawn over by the box outline as it moves around and does not erase.

Actually had a minor attack me in a recent game. He delcared war and sent a fleet. No troop transports though.
