I'm playing on a gigantic map started in version 2, upgraded to 2a. Reasonable early into the game I got a (mega?) event which placed a spy on all colonized planets (mine and AI players). At the time I already had about 60 planets, and I am busy training spies to try and remove them. Then I noticed the counter espionage tech which gave me the Counter Espionage Center planetary improvement. So I started building this on planets which still have a spy (around 45 at the moment) but when these cente

I just finished my first Dark Avatar game, and when I look at the end of game statistic screens, I noticed I have an Avarage Monthly Income of -14311 bc / month (see screenshot) which is a bug I think. Because I had the luck to find 3 economic resources very close to my homeplanet and stole a few others I don't think I ever had a negative income except maybe for a few turns in the very beginning of the game. As a matter of fact, I had an income of more then 20000 bc each week in the last couple
Well, I seem to have the same problem, I have a few spies, but I'm unable to place them on a planet to disable say a factory. Here is a screenshot... I also mailed this screenshot and a savegame to [email protected]
You're probably right that this is mainly a balancing issue, but I just wanted to bring this to the attention of Stardock, and hear the feeling of my fellow beta testers. If these Mega events don't give a 'Oh crap...' feeling when they hit, they won't be really memorable which was one of the reason they were added to the game I think... I'll just have to wait and see I guess, but I hope they will really become MEGA in the future. Kind regards, Scorpi
In the last game I played, I got two mega events and both were much too easy to survive. First I got the Plague event, still pretty early in the game, I was still colonizing planets. Because I already had the pre-requisite, I could research the plague cure in about 7 weeks with all my income going to research. Much further on in the game, I got another mega event, this time an invasion from the Dread Lords. They got one planet in the corner of the map. Two turns later I wiped them o
I just got a strange little bug... Pretty early into the game I got the Plague mega event, because I already had researched the pre-requisite, it only took me a few weeks to get the cure. The AI opponents didn't seemed to mind millions of people dieing, and a lot of turns later still didn't have the cure (populations still declining) so I decided to try and trade the cure and see what I could get for it. Because I still hadn't build any ships, I traded the cure to the Arceans for as
I just want to add another little suggestion to this list. When Dark Avatar gets installed, it would be nice if it used the same options as the original game. I mean, I had problems in Dread Lords when using the software cursor (it stopped responding after a while) so I enabled the hard ware cursor in the video options. After installing Dark Avatar, it would have been nice if this option was also enabled, but it seems all options are just some kind of default instead of what I chose in Dread
You mean you don't have it yet? Strange..... Just kidding
