Mine's still showing .068. What gives?

Well, if I'm Terran, I take Mars early because I like to play with Rare habitible planets, and so far I play tiny or small maps because of my computer, so I have to take what I can get.
Are you sure? I just opened SDC and it didn't show an updated version.
If you get them in trade, where do they get placed? Or do you have ot place them yourself?
Yah, it doesn't actually move for the autopilot until you hit the turn button. It's kinda nice that way because if something happens, you can change where it's going if you need to. Otherwise you just hit turn again, and it moves it further along.
I must be lucky, I haven't had an issue with the CTD thing, and I haven't played larger than medium, so the FOW doesn't bug me either, no pun intended.
Wow, I must be a wimp. I usually play Tiny or Small, 3-5 opponents with rare habitible planets. It's kinda slow on my computer sometimes, so I try not to get too big.
Well, I suppose at teh start it might be, but once you are into the game a bit, I think it would be ok. Normally you can see the influence lines on the screen anyways, that would just make it easier, to me anyways. And thanks!
Wow, very thorough, and cool, I'm not quite there yet. However, this is probably a stupid question. In your photos, the area of influence are color coded based on the race. How do you get that to show up? Is it a tech, or an option, or did you do that yourself before pasting the photos? Thanks!
Well, if that's the case, that's ok, but they shouldn't call it "Surrender" then. But that's just my opinion.
Thinking about it some more, I'm not sure what to think. I guess I can see a race surrendering to someone not attacking them, but I can also see where they shoudl have to. For example, in WW2, Poland was invaded by Germany. Would it make any sense if Poland surrendered to Britan? Of course not. IRL, countries usually, if nto always, surrender to the attacker, hoping to someday be able to restore their country.
Vinraith, I guess I never thought about it that way. I guess it does make sense. Just annoying ot put all that time and effort to see it all go away, but part of the game. Thanks for iluminating me.
It's probably not a bug, but it should be one ha ha. I was in a war with the Krynn, and I basically had their last two planets surrounded, and was merely waiting for transports to arrive to take them out once and for all. One turn before they got there, the Krynn surrendered....not to me, but to the Korath, who had done nothing to them at all the whole game. Ticks me off. You shoudl only be able to surrendur to people you're in a war with.
Ahh, ok. I always thought it was odd when I used transports to take over the planet and the box popped up saying I was declaring war on them. I thought we already were ha ha.
How do you do that, so I know? I tried the major and minor screens, couldn't find them to talk to them.
So is the only reason to have large populations tax money then?
Yah, that's what I had. I assume it's million, since I know I sent 12 billion and it was like 12000.
Th eonly reason I hate disabling tech trading is because I can't give the AI Alliances so I can end the game diplomatically when it's pretty much foregone that I could win if I spent the time on it.
Well, too late for this time, maybe next time ha ha.
I have a question, not sure if it's a bug or not, but the game I'm currently playing, the Dread Lords popped up. Figuring they'd be strong, I sent a bunch of both air ships and probably 12 billion troops. Well, when I landed the troops, they had 20(million I think). They killed a sizable number for such a small number, but I could've done it with a sizably smaller army. What gives?
I don't think you can turn off the conquest victory, can you?
Are you sure? I've had times where I've been "close" with them for 3/4's of the game and had the alliance tech, and I could not do it until I traded them the tech. So until I see otherwise with my own eyes, I think both people have to have it. Am I right? Not sure.
Actually I found both races have to have the Alliance tech. I had to give it to one of the AI's so I could alliance with him and end the game.
Ahh, silly me, whatever was I thinking ha ha. Thanks for all your help.
BTW, this is when playing Dark Avatar(not sure about Dread Lords, and it's the latest version.
