What's the difference between disabling the random events and just choosing the neutral option, which usually has no penalty?

From a month ago I was definitely not at war with anybody. I have not been able to reliably reproduce the behavior. If you can get a save game file right before it happens, send it in so it can be looked at.
I think it would be fairly difficult to carbon date something that contains no carbon.
If you contact a different race for diplomacy, you can offer to attack the race you want war with. Also, attempting to attack any ship/base of the race you want war with will prompt you to declare war.
In other words, doesn't whether light "looks like" a wave or a particle depend on your observation technique? Yes. I believe that light is neither particle nor wave, but rather is something else that hasn't truly been classified. The reason we state that it demonstrates the properties of a particle in some instances and a wave in others is beca
You need 'close' relations with the person you want to ally with. To get multiple transports in one invasion, put them in a fleet.
If you press 'Print Screen' on your keyboard ('PrtSc'), it will copy a picture of your current screen to the clipboard. You can then paste the screen shot in a document or picture processor.
that gravity is so strong in a black hole that light cannot escape You say that like its proof that light must have weight in order for that to happen, which just isn't true. Light cannot escape a black hole because the curvature of space-time is so severe. It's like a 'hole' in space. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=cen
Go to your empire page in the Metaverse. If you click on 'Join Empire', it will bring up your characters. Next to the one in the empire should be a button 'Leave Empire'.
Perhaps. Your point?
There may be a way to get GalCiv and your internet browser to run in separate threads simultaneously; I'm not certain how at the moment.
If light is matter as well as energy does it weigh anything? NO Light demonstrates properties of particles and waves, but it cannot 'weigh anything' because it has no mass. If it had any mass, it would be unable to travel at the 'speed of light'. It is not accurate to describe light as 'matter', since it has no mass.<br/
You could try having GalCiv run in a window and move it out of the way while you view the forum page. That way you can keep the game 'active' while reading the forum. Of course the game would go 'inactive' whenever you needed to scroll or click in the forum...
1) ability to have my improvements not auto-upgrade when a new improvement becomes available that obsoletes the existing improvement. This is unessential since I can just mod all the obsolete tags out, but it would be nice to keep them since it shuffles the obsolete buildings to the "Old" tab. You can already stop auto-upgrade. If you click
Something rather strange happened in the game I was playing. A number of my mines were destroyed by AI ships without them declaring war on me. As near as I could tell, they were trying to move through that space and did not autopilot around like my ships normally do.
I have to say this philosophical discussion is fascinating, but I would like to know: how does it apply to the game? If you have feedback relevant to the game mechanic in question, please share it. It would be appreciated if you refrained attacking someone else's input. If you disagree with someone's premise in what they are offering, that's fine - offer your suggestion. That does not mean you should start an argument. (Please note that this is not directed at one person - the 'you'
Mikabomber - please send an email with that error text to [email protected] and please attach your saved game and the debug file to that email. Does that go for the rest of us who have indicated a similar problem as well?
The minor races are very useful, especially on the larger maps. They are good for trade routes and tech trading (for more money); and if they aren't killed too soon by someone else, they usually become pretty powerful. And since you don't need to take their planets for a military win, they can be of great help. For every planet controlled by a minor race, thats one less planet you need to take for a conquest victory... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/BigSmile.gif" border
(16) The results of this game could not be posted to the Metaverse. I got this message when I tried to upload my game as well. The debug.err file has the line: "Debug Message: PostGameToServer: Post failed. RPC error code: InvalidVersion" Since this game took me a couple of days to get through, I'd really like to be abl
