Make sure you delete all the files in the my documents folder as well as in the stardock/galciv2 folder. You might also want to try a cold reboot before you reinstall the game.

The whole game seems to be faster. What did you guys do? Great job! BTW is the intensive AI option running? Is the load from save game (lost production/extra move turn) bug fixed?
I bought GalCIv2 because of the hard work you guys did after the GalCiv I release. This game is like a vision of what I dreamed the orginal could have been. After release you guys had been dedicated to getting it right. You can already count on my money for any expansions and GalCiv 3. Thank you for the many hours of enjoyment.
It's working just fine for me. What version are you upgrading from and did you ever load up the free demo?
Very cool generatoes.. I justt tried the anime attack generator for animal space powerful and got soom cool names like perfect wolf executionar and beastly meteor execution
Hmmm Strategy First! is their publisher! Yikes Good Luck....
I would like strategic orders as a option for fleet battles. Ie.(1) RUN AWAY!!! (2) Kill Big Ships first (3) Normal Attack with retreat if failing after a couple rounds (3) Committed attack with bonuses for no retreat option
It would be nice if auto select could be disabled as a togggle. But Carielf had said before that is a more difficult issue. The removal of auto-focus was a highly requested feature, which Stardock reponded to. It makes a huge difference on large map sizes. After playing the beta since it came out , it is a great feature, and could be implemented without a tremendous amount of work. With the auto-focus un selected you can always now override the selected ship by clickin
Nobanga's Ambition I and II on the PC. Reach for the Stars.
Stardock has an advantage over other companies becaue it actually supports it games after release. Maybe the other companies that insist on copy protection are assuming that they can't depend on THEIR level of support to provide an incentive for legitimate registration.
The obvious benefits of your support policy and the significance of the updates serve you well. I think you probably get as many conversions from pirated copies as you so from the online demos. The obvious upgrades to the game you get as a registered Stardock user, give a clear incentive to buy a legit copy. its obviously worth the money, once you start playing the game as see how much time you arewasting enjoying yourself.
Win xp and 1 MB maybe 2MB of RAM. Galciv2 wants about 1.5 MB of RAM, so unless you have that you are using the windows swap file a lot. The Win 98 swap file is slow, XP is much faster.
Space Hippies? Aren't those the Torians? Don't they have the "frisky" birthrate? Free love and all that......
i ususally try for conquest victory on larger maps high difficulty. I like two factories and a starport on every world. On a world larger than 4 , I also place one research lab and bank and the rest factories. That way, as you techs increase they get auto upgraded. I place factories or research on those bonus tiles and I build specials and trade goods wherever I can build them the quickest. I select a big planet or high manuf bonus planet as my ma
I like to at first (1) reduce the info box and (2) use it at half speed and then use (3) click and grab to find the angle I want and (4 ) then hit restart to watch the whole action. The settings carry over from one battle to another. Cinematic, free cam , orbiting and center out all give great but different views on a large battle.
fleet and class upgrade kinda working in 1.2 beta 2. Still a little buggy Should be fixed by thursday for the final 1.2 version
Found an May 1 article that Tandis from Stardock said it was a bug. And they were hoping to kill it in 1.2 final. Its a Bug. Not a feature or working as designed.
Aha found a post that the developers know about it and it is not deliberate. It is a bug. #24 by Tandis [Stardock] Monday, May 01, 2006 2:19 PM Trolling Insightful It is on our list but it isn't at the top of the priority list. We understand why some people think this

Link Link Link These threads have info on this subject. have not have time to read them through yet. Has this been fixed in the new 1.2 or is it working as designed? Is this to create an incentive not to reload for Metaverse games and avoid r
Yeah, Stardock should really fix this. I had some issue with demo and 1.1 until I completely purged the demo and reinstalled the game from CD and SDC.
Stars with promise Ships flying thru the void Death appears frigid silence
Do the modded games started up under the Metaverse show up under your metaverse account as completed yet cheat flagged games? If you select a modded option, then start a game under Metaverse does it show up as a completed game under teh metaverse, even though it is cheat flagged/ And does it effect your score?
"Slurp" ? Seriously, I would like a sutble "chiiiiiing or click" Ya know, there really might be a good idea here, especially if it was an optional noise. Kinda reinforces that "just one more turn" mojo......
BTW I also have seen the AI giving ships around to players involved in wars a LOT more. Both to me, and to other players ( I see different race ships in the fleets I see moving around.) Way Cool.
