So here I was, playing a war-hungry Terran... I noticed the Iconian's influence was getting way too strong, so I said to myself "Well, their military is pretty weak, and I just gave my arch-nemesis, the Altarians, a bloody nose so they won't bother me for a while. Time to get a-conquering." I went over and I was surprised to see that the iconians had a total of 3 planets. So of course, I started invading them... to my surprise, I found New Iconia to

I think some sort of "Exporter" tool would be nice - it wouldn't do anything special, just create a .html file with a picture of the ship and user-filled stats boxes, kind of like that Add thingy. Maybe too hard to do though... At any rate, I want a bigger name box =D I need more naming space for my ship, I'm tired of using contractions for Heavy, Fighter, Corvette, Class, etc. "Phoenix-Cls Hvy. Corv." Poooh <img src="http

I'll turn off the Fan-boy mode for a second here From a completely unbiased point of view, you deserve kuddos for releasing so many patches so fast after the release. HOWEVER, and some reviews are picking this up, the initial game's release was riddled with minor bugs. Now, please don't attack me on a personnal level. I know this game didn'

I wish there was a second type of moral building: Drinking holes. They could upgrade to Taverns, Bars, Distillery and the ultimate - Fraternity houses. These would increase the population's morale but decrease your productivity ._.

On the other side, the Arceans are more neutral-sided so they'll never mind your ethical alignment Just trade with them some - they're an easy race to ally with and usually quite powerful too.

Sheesh, people can get to nasty when their shiny new game won't work I fail to see the logic though... if you think Stardock is moronic, why do you want to play this game so badly that you are ready to insult them for it? It makes no sense! </

3: Declares war on itself? "In recent News, the Drengin empire has declared war to itself, stating that their "Military build-up" and blatant disregard for national borders consisted an act of war." sounds like a TheOnion news article... Though I second #2 wholeheartedly!

Seriously, it's all you hear these days. Multiplayer and graphics. When I try showing this game to some people, they first go "Pfft, graphics don't look half as good as Empire at War", then they ask if there's multiplayer, rant that a game without multiplayer is stupid, and go back to playing Amped 3 on Xbox 360 or some other no-brain game. ... hello? Well, no need to be fanboys here anyway so here's my post proper;<br/

First thing first, start a tiny galaxy with a single ennemy set to ultra-dumb, disable all win victories except diplomacy. From there on, test out things, take it slow, go back to the tutorials once in a while (you can access the main menu without losing your game - simply click on the "continue" option in the main menu. There's a few basic concepts, outside of gameplay tips, to understand: 1- Your planets are your "cities" f

Personally, I use the screenshot method, then I talk about the starship builder, then I bring in the few people that i've already converted to add to my voice. I made a guy order a new PC (his old one being solely a go-on-the-net pc) in order to play this game. I was also able to convince the manager at the EB games I went and bought my game from to try th

Thing with building your colony ships is that, while your spending is a 100% at military, you're not getting any research or home improvement done, which, so early in the game, can be a hard thing to catch up to...though it doesn't last too long. Although, of course, it all depends on your game style This is probably just the more "generic"

I concur - Early-game strategies usually involve the following: 1- Create a custom "Fast" colony ship. Cargo hull, ramp up on engines and some sensors (to find those cool planets) Then buy one each turn for as long as you have money, during this initial phase you can keep your research to a low level of funding - you'll catch up later. You need to concentrate on getting as many colonies as possible. Also ressources are a real

As a general rule, for equivalent tech level of buildings of farms and moral, you need about 1.5 moral per farm to keep a balance (given that all other factors averages themselves out) on a normal (10-15) planet. Just remember the basic rule of economy : Each production point = 1 BC spent that means if your planet is producing 15 "shield" and 15 "hammers" then you're spending 30 BC per turn. That's why it is -not-

Hello! First off, I love this game. I love it so much I'm currently "converting" all my co-workers (which isn't hard - just gotta show them a few screenshots, talk about the awesome things you can do and make 'em try the game and Voila! Another convert!) At any rate, my idea for space ship battles: I know stardock once said that it didn't want tactical combat and from how the atual fighting works, I don't think it would

All you guys trying to locate a in-store box! Ha! do like me, order online and then go buy a box when you find one! Really, this game is worth buying twice! (I know I did - go go stardock!)

Now my question is... I didn't pre-order the game... (silly me didn't pay enough attention to the shipping date and I didn't know it was out until the 23rd of last month) But I would really really like the extra components... Can I pay a supplement to get an upgraded version?
