Wow...amazing! I have never seen a 5/5, but then again I don't watch it that much. You guys deserve a 6/5 for these games your coming out with. Keep it up guys!

Awww, how nostalgic! It is amazing to see how much the game evolved. GC2 looks like an entirely different game altogether. I would definetely jump in this offer if I didn't already have GC1 and AP.

Awesome upgrade. However, when I ALT-TABbed to the desktop and then back to the game, all my Transport ships took the models of the Freighters. It didn't really alter the game much, but it was just weird.

Congratulations guys! You definetely deserve it! I know that I have already gotten 4 of my friends to grab a copy. I still have to show it to some of my other friends; I know that as soon as I do, they'll jump the wagon as well. Most of them were really impressed with the dedication to the members that you guys show through your forums and IRC channel. Congratulations again! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/g

Well, I just played my first game today and I must say that the official release is ten-fold better than the BETA. I was worried about getting the same lag issues, but I didn't get any. The game is as smooth as it can possibly get and I really enjoyed some of the tweaks that was done graphically. My only concern is regarding the movies. I didn't get any...not even the intro movies. Is there an option that I must enable? I searched for i

Well, the Collector's Edition should cost more than the regular version anyways right? I wouldn't feel bad banking a little bit more for it. Stardock is being nice and giving it to "us" for the same price as the regular game because of our help in developing the game with them.

Anyone here also get annoyed of races making Peace and then going back to war the next turn because their allies are at war with you? I wish there was a fix so that they wouldn't seek peace until all allies concurred. Would that be too hard to implement?

Well, I just installed the latest update (02/01/06) and now the game won't even load anymore? Is there anything that I am missing? Prior to this update, I was getting the usual random CTD which I tolerated. But now the game won't even load anymore.

Is there a possibility that the final game will run a little smoother than the beta? Towards the end of the game, when lots of ships are present, I am experiencing a lot of lag. I have a 2.0Ghz Centrino with 1.25GBs of RAM. That shouldn't be happening.

I forgot to mention how much fun a LAN party would be playing GalCiv II. It doesn't have to be total strangers who you play with; and even if it is, trust me it is a lot more intense than any AI. I mean, all the things you guys have brought up, such as asking a race to remove ships near your planet and whatnot; all that could be accomplished via a simple chat.

Wow, how can anyone here say that they wouldn't use the multiplayer feature if it was available. How naive are you guys? Let's face it, multiplayer gaming adds a whole new perspective to the game. Clan battles could take a whole new meaning. The development of clans and tournaments alone would be a direct by-product of it. Like oneeyedwilly said, it adds longetivity to the game. Look at the most widely played games out there: World of Warcraft, Counter-Strike, Civ4 even; all have multipla

Just a brief question. Say you put 100M colonists aboard a colony ship and then you find no open planets and decide to destroy your colony ship to save money. Do you lose the 100M aboard the ship? Or are they put back to where they boarded from?

I do agree that it should remain as is. But the placing warships next to it and handing them over to those at war with them should be considered an exploit. I mean, I think the races at war should automatically attach each other's starbases without having to "guide" them to it. Why not just adding the option to ask an ally or other races to Attack a starbase like you can ask your ally to attack a planet? That would seem legit.

Well, I have played a couple of games on the 0.76[b].003 version and I have come across some bugs and have thought of some suggestions that I feel would improve the gameplay. BUGS: - Intro dialog is not scrolling. - Planet "details" window exibits loud and weird sound. - Earth picture on the main interface, where is shows the PQ, is distorted. - Planet structure build queue list is not scrolling. <br

Wow...just got the latest update and I must say that this new research tech tree is phenomenal. I hope it stays. Far better than the previous one. Thank you StarDock, you guys rock!

Mine is working fine except for the right edge of the screen. For some reason it isn't scrolling when putting the cursor on the right edge. BTW, the game is looking amazing. Love the new tech tree.

Well, I have only spent about 2-3 hours with the newest version of GalCiv2 and I must congratulate the developers on an amazing job. This game gets better and better with every update and I can tell you that it is on the right track for another success. BUGS: While playing the game I have come across some bugs that I feel would be appreciated by the developers if presented. I know that there must be a ton of other bugs out there, but these are t

It worked! Guys, just click on "Lookup Serial Number..." in the "Settings" and you should receive your new, fixed serial for GC2. It took me about 6 hours to download 38MB...now I must download the Multimedia package which is 57MB...talk to you guys tomorrow.

I might have fixed mine. I just went to Setting and clicked on "Lookup Serial Number...". I then received an email with my account information and my serial numbers for GalCiv I and II. Surprisinhly, my GalCiv II serial had changed. I pasted the new serial in and it registered fine. Now I am downloading the update and hoping that it will work...don't know why it should. I will post the outcome. I'm in Namibia at the moment so it is taking forever. I
