The service I was using to count the number of downloads apparently doesn't exist any more. I removed that part of the URL, so both the link and the mirror site should work fine now: http://www.cdgroup.org/forums/tbs/gc/viewforum.php?f=90

Yup, I'm sure it's just another kid who tries the first link in the post and doesn't bother to read further. btw, after finishing my current obsession FarCry, I think I'm going to have another go at Gciv. Can I download the full standalone expansion pack with my drengin account, or is that just for the beta?
It took about a year longer than you originally estimated ;), but bravo! Looks like a wonderful tool, DarkRain. Great job!
Thanks for replying to that ever-reapeating question, Puppeteer. Just an FYI for you all: there's been over 110 gigabyte of Star Wars fun served up by this mod! (probably significantly more than that, since I didn't have a download counter in the beginning.) Thanks for all the support. p.s. You'd think they would have upgraded me from a lowly citizen by now. (:( [Message Edited]
News to me. I didn't know there was a first expansion. :)
If this is addressed to me, I don't even know what AP stands for. Sorry, but I haven't played gciv in ages. [Message Edited]
No, but I heard about a killer star trek one that should be nearing release ;)
If you have the latest version, which I'm guessing you do, there is a fully operational installer/deinstaller. So, there should be no manual deletion of anything as you described. Furthermore, you definitely want to run the mod installer after you do any updates. It modifies the .ship files to tell it to use my star wars models, so running an update can overwrite that change. What's probably confusing you is that if you want to get a new Stardock update after you've already
Well, thanks for saying so Moondoggy. :) Most of the other people who've asked that question don't even bother to reply after they figure out where to get what they want >:( Take care...
Hey does these mods affect your score and stats on this web site? I assume that using the cheats will too. I used them a couple of times while learning to play but stay away from them now as it is more fun to win the right way, or get my ass handed to me by the damn I-league.
This mod does not affect gameplay.
Hope it's fixed soon. Big star wars fan here! Why do I have to reply to this every 2 or 3 posts? The answer is there, moon
Chech the later posts for the most current URL.
Thanks RustyBlade :d The mod has had approximately 1100 downloads since I put up a counter, which wasn't until a few weeks after the initial release. I'm fairly pleased considering it's a very sizeable 40-70 megs per download (depending on whether they download music.) And, no arclite, there hasn't been any updates recently. Sorry :( If someone wants to update the data files so that they are current with latest stuff, I'll be happy to post it as a patch.
Correction, your ability to read the rest of the thread is poooh ;)
A message from the Grand Admiral! I am humbled ;) But seriously, though, I'd say I'm not really around any more (except when people post to this thread.) I haven't played in ages. Perhaps when I get around to updating the mod for the expansion pack, I'll give it another go.
Thanks for the warm and fuzzies Martyn. It's good to know you're enjoying it. And nand, I just might take you up on that :d
What do you mean?
Sheesh, I just noticed the post right before yours also has the link. For cryin out loud...
Like I posted 5 times now :notsure:, the latest being a mere 8 messages ago (post 102):
"Follow the link that can be found in messages 58, 71, 82 and 98."
But apparently evil gremlins must be hiding all links from some of you folks ;), so let me post it again, http://www.cdgroup.org/forums/tbs/gc/index.php?h=1&pf=89 btw, I haven't updated it in ages. I may do it if I ever get around to trying the expansion pack. We'll see, I guess.
And props to you Deleuzian for clearly respecting his work/rights and posting his response here :D
Mad Maz: I'd like to do some mods. How does one go about doing that?
um, try reading some stuff in the mod forum, or check out the cdg website at http://www.cdgroup.org/ There are several forums related to specific mods there.
On the same note, how are mods installed? Are they self-extracting? I didn't see any instructions on the Library page.
My mod and some of the modding utilities use an installer, so there's not much to it. Most of t
I was curious, so I looked around a bit. Neither me nor any other modder has ever been bumped from Citizen (other than HawaiiFive-O) as far as I can tell. IMO, several of us have made some very significant contribution to people's gameplay. It's OK of course, since it's basically a meaningless title. It's like a flavorless carrot whose location you really can't make out in the first place. tbh, the fact that some part of us still wants it even if it is completely irrelevent is reall
Thanks Anlashok :) Your name is a B5 term, isn't it? btw, there was some talk about a B5 mod, but I think that's all that came out of it. If you decided to pursue it, you could probably find some co-conspirators.
I know the thread is long, Mr. Bigg, but you should at least spend a few minutes reading some of the messages around here. If you did, you would have noticed that your question has already been asked and answered several times. Spending a little of your time to do the obvious is the least you could do before asking other to spend their time on you. Follow the link that can be found in messages 58, 71, 82 and 98.
My advice is to drink plenty of fluids. As long as you abide by that, you're more than welcome to link to this thread. In fact, since the most current mod URL may be hard to find in this thread, it would probably be easier for your site's vistors if you linked directly to the CDG forum for the mod at http://www.cdgroup.org/forums/tbs/gc/index.php?h=1&pf=89 . They'd need to go there anyway to download the files. And feel free to plug your site here. I wouldn't mind following the link myself.<
Thanks for the nice comments, Paskhal :)
