AFAIK, yes.

Hmmm, I only play gigantic maps, and I pretty much rely on trade. I generally get about 15% of my income from trade, which is to say that although it is greatly outweighed by my tax income, it is usually more than my net income for much of the game. So without trade, I wouldn't be able to have my spending on 100%. Playing the Thalans / Industrialist means that I need plenty of income to feed those production bonuses.
All their ships simply go *poof*, even transports and their passengers. I've always thought it would be cool if the surviving ships became pirates or a band of mercenaries available to hire.
What would you offer them? Cash? That's pretty much what happened when Scotland "surrendered" to England in 1715.
BTW isn't "Evil Stormbringer" a bit of a tautology? Stormbringer was the epitome of evil in sword form.
If you fire up Stardock Central, you'll note that you can use it to chat in IRC.... Make sure the "Show pre-release versions" tickbox is checked.
OK, thx, that's sweet.
Have you seen the Eve-Online map? That's quite impressive: almost 1/100,000th the size of the Milky Way!
The kicker -- its a PQ5 planet... ARRGH! Well I guess you'll have to build your manufacturing capital on the 100% tile and your starport on the blank... yeah, we're all shedding a tear for you!
I have another issue - I want to pre-order this as a gift for a friend. How do I go about this? Are there any issues?
Azrune, that's fair, but I don't think that's quite the point he was making. People are complaining and making suggestions without any real understand of the difficulty involved in what they're asking. People have a pretty good idea of how hard it is to make a double whopper (mmm... burger...), but apparently a lot have very little idea of how hard it is to write a game AI.
Weird... maybe the game hasn't "recognised" your choice to re-enable minor races. Have you tried re-enabling the default config?
The damned things in GCI came in from the beginning and meeting one early on meant certain doom for your flagship Doom for the poor chumps your flagship led the monster too...
Sell it some chumpy minor race.
its still cheaper It probably won't be cheaper, but it's likely to be better value.
Hey nice, I enjoyed reading that.
I think it relates to the new asteroid belt feature.
Are you playing on small/tiny maps? try "Gigantic" - I promise you'll find 3 or 4.
As long as you're not reading game-based love fiction....
So this is why people build their own PC's...it's not so much that you save money, but you get to pick the components you want, which end up being much higher quality. I agree 100% with this. I wouldn't recommed a Dell even to an enemy.
Not that you can use it immediately as it would bankrupt you early on... Sure you can use it! It just saves building those first couple of factories. Build market centres instead and use your boosted research to get to republic ASAP.
You can get some pretty nice 7600GS cards with passive cooling (XFX do a good one). Silent and more than good enough to run GalCiv2. They're not expensive.
I'm certainly not finding the CPU load onerous with a lowly A64 3000+, so they can pile more iterations in if it'll make the AI a little smarter.
