Hi Alexander, I'm using a new build of fences 2 on a windows 8 x64 system and can confirm your problem. I'm using Start8 together with Fences2. First the Desktop is quite clean, after a while Shortcuts and fences becomes visible. Probably a normal behavior.

No, I didn't. After installing Fences 2, the evaluation box popups directly. There wasn't a request to reboot the system. Update: Re-boot doesn't help, also not a new installation of Fences.

i V3nn3tj3, the translation is not the work from Stardock I think. Windows 7 and Windows 8 are using language modules, so Windows translates some key words automatic. If you check all right side options from the Start8 menu, you see some more untranslated words e.g. 'Network', 'Connect to'. 'Default Programs' ... You are right, the screenshot above shows the behaviour with the default theme of Start8. Together with the other two Start8 themes, the colour function of Start8 doesn't work anymore. The right side of the start menu remains white.
Hi disaster007, it is not so easy, like your description. I didn't use a default theme then I've change the menu colour. There for, I have save my design. But where is my design or where can I find my theme? Ok, google helps and I found the folder. Hi, Microsoft has remove the transparency of his windows. So I prefer the option 'Disable the translucency' in the Style menu of Start8 configuration. This looks strange together with the taskbar, because the desktop taskbar is translucent. Thanks. Thomas
I will remark that you can see the shade change only, when you use the default theme and you don't disable the translucency. The shut down field has a dark shade by default.

Hi, in the section 'What should happen when you are in a Modern UI app?', you can choice what should happen in the Start Menu hot corner. Is it possible to show the 'Desktop thumbnail', when I choice the first entry? It is annoying to click the 'Start menu thumbnail' and going to desktop. Best regards, Thomas

An other small bug, is the incorrect size of the large Windows 7 start button. I think it's to small.
