I want to be clear on this: those extra lines that you added to the bottom, after adding them, do they then translate in the UI? Sean Drohan Product Lifecycle Manager
Yes, that’s correct. Without those entries, some texts in the UI remain in English. However, I left those additional entries out on GitHub.
For the most part, we try to accommodate sizes for other languages but with the exception of Asian translations, every other is more verbose than English. That is (by far) our largest audience. We will continue to refine the translation process but it can be done if the meaning of the text is lost by shortening it. Again, anyone willing is able to submit changes <a href="https://github.com/StardockCorp/

Basj has forwarded this request to the Stardock Support Team for their review and recommendations. In my view, this is a bug and should be treated as a priority. Instead of adding new features, the reported bugs should be fixed first.

Unfortunately, the text is still darker in Start11v2 2.6.0.2. Why does the color of the search field in the Start menu differ from the color of the search field in the taskbar? Wouldn't it be better if everything were consistent? <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/48/48/4848614/e8933454-7068-4adc-a8a4-9535f3903cfa.png" alt
If you want to have any changes reviewed, please visit Github, and make a pull request. The only thing I ask (and I need to update the requirements) is that it has the exact same number of lines in the en.lng file (currently, that is 948). That means not extra comments or lines.
I used the comment function to point out various problems again. Unfortunately, these are still not being addressed in various updates. <br /
Any progress on this bug?
It's really annoying that the bug is still there. I described above how you can fix the error manually. Have you tried that? The ini file is usually hidden, which is why you have to change the Explorer settings to make it visible.

Did you perhaps use strange colors in the start menu? The icon names are displayed by default. If you hide the names, they will be displayed when you hover over them with the mouse. Except for “Pin website...”, “Pin folder...” or “Pin file...”, where the mouse-over display of the name does not work when the names are hidden. Can you upload a screenshot? <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forums/48/48/4848614/2e5c529c-9d58-49d

I found out why the translation of “Icon size” doesn't work. There is a space after the colon. The easiest way to fix this error is to do it via “Start11Config.exe.” Then you don't have to correct over 20 language files. ; Added to 2.49 "- File Explorer"="– Datei-Explorer" "Icon size : " ="Symbolgröße :" "Button width :"="Schaltflächenbreite :" "Button height :"="Schalt

Currently, Control Panel and Settings use the same tooltips and the same icon in Windows 7 Style with icons. Here is my suggestion for the “Control Panel” tooltip, which should be added to the file "Start11Config.exe": "Opens the Control Panel to manage advanced settings and options."="Opens the Control Panel to manage advanced settings and options." Here is the tooltip that is intended for "Settings," but is also used for "Contro

Resolved issue with all apps search field showing incorrectly in some menu styles Unfortunately, the “Enable all apps searching” feature still causes problems with many start menu styles. It should be possible to switch between the different styles without having to restart Explorer. The Windows 7 style and Modern style do not normally have app searching, so you might be able to solve the problem by hiding and turning off the “Enable all app

Made text on all apps search in dark mode less dark Unfortunately, the error with the search field is still there. And, as you can see, the text in the app search is still darker. My system: Windows 11 Professional 25H2 Build 26200.7171

Thank you, this option helps. I thought the “Vertically center the taskbar buttons” option was intended for that purpose. But this seems to only apply to pinned button shortcuts. Is there a reason for this? I would have expected it to also affect the “Start” button, the search button, widgets, and the tray symbols.

Hello @Sean Drohan, the revised language file has been uploaded to GitHub. Since I’m still getting used to the platform, I hope everything is set up correctly. This update covers the strings within the Start11 v2 menu and its settings. Any further issues I encounter will be addressed in future updates. To highlight specific layout problems – especially where the German translation is too long for buttons or labels – I’ve added comments directly in the
