Use VMWare. /me is currently running Virtual PC with OS/2, Win98, ME, XP RC2 and soon to be 2K (possibly linux). I hate dual booting also.
(disclaimer) I really do not want to offend anyone with this next post. I have made some good friends in the skinning community from all over the world and I really don't want to jeopardise this. You speak about it being good to take pride in your country. But the way some of these things are said says to non US people 'You can't take care of your problems and we have to help you out all the time'. Maybe it's true and maybe it's not but this does go against our pride and (unintention
Paxx: On some (not all) themes you can get around that by making objects out of sections of the wallpaper. The Heavy Equipment DesktopX theme was (when fist designed) tied into the wallpaper. Objects were created from the background wall and it is now resolution independent. This does depend on the style of the wallpaper. If the wallpaper is mainly blank (gradients or plain colour) this method can be used easily.
What pig? Looks like a cow to me.
Which theme? Are you able to create a new one, save it and reopen it?

At the risk of Doreenosis I'll just finish off by saying glad I could help and feel free to ask any other questions by email if you should so desire.
Hmm. Must remember to use &+lt and &+gt instead of < and > in future.
Hah. My blatant plug warnings disappeared. Must have been the < and > signs.
This threads not dead. It's pining for the fjords.
Jafo: I hear ess-vid is a kind soul who does icons on demand. Apparently he does them because it gives him a warm fuzzy feeling when someone say how much they like them. Errr. Or something...
You can create a systray object or a taskbar object. Just create a new object (Blue circle) and then change the class to system tray or Taskbar. It defaults to a grey thing but you can easily create a taskbar in the style you want. See a theme that contains one to see how to skin it. minimalism 2000 contains both
There are so many that I'm not going to re-list them. But like Buzz I would put MadIce up there. His WBAmp plugin was what got me into skinning. I did my first skin purely as a way to test his plugin. The skin is a nightmare but the plugin was/is great. He was so helpful in my first days of skinning and gave me a lot of advice on various things. Without his help then I probably would not be posting on this site now. He then updated his plugin and I was forced to do another WB skin (after
Are your guidelines for a fast skin posted up anywhere? New skinners probably won't know that tiling is faster than stretching and it's generally better to have a larger tilable image than the smallest possible.
I hope you cancelled them all ASAP.

Umm, crae : > Another thing (going slightly off topic now) is > the role of Froggy. He is not an admin nor has > he anything to do with this site (right?). Froggy is an admin. Not sure why you think he isn't. Just look at the bottom of his posts : by Admin Frogboy If you were making some kind of joke and I missed it I apologise. It's late here.

They are all very friendly and polite. I'm just asking for a little advice and I always attach a file as a gift.
He won't answer my emails either. I send him 50 a day.
