Pretty good stadegy I think though this is dependent on the race if u don't start out with one u should either through research or trade for a tech that u can build multiple economic buildings like market places many people say stock markets its nice when u have them but they r way down on the tech tree u should spam them when your spending is higher than your income u will probably need to eventually lower production when u run out of money U should probably increase your approval to 100

Thanks I like the Yor I just discovered that even though the Yor is missing a descent economic governmemt diplomacy and morale tech tree and for some confusing reason their missing their technological capital and if they had all this stuff I would understand making the charging stalks low on pop count like they do but since the Yor don't have these why lower the pop count on their farming techs and since they don't have these things why not give them a specialized tech tree instead I&

I'm playing the Yor and I found out that they r really stable economics they have really good influence and they r descent on production they start off low on economics but it works and eventually it is alright research is the problem though they get up to 300 Bc per week very quickly after that they stagnate to not increasing their research is poor its hatd to increase to 1000 bc per week I need a good stradegy for this can anybody help

I also have to put my 2 cents in miser just joking, but what good is it to save money. Ask yourself what u r going to spend it on. This is obviously not really going to help u in real life. U have 3000 Bc to start off with don't waste it. Kick that production up to %100. Don't worry about losing money untill your below -400 that will give U a little le way. Make sure to use your colony ship. U R garanteed to lose your money in the beginning. This is not a bad thing. I disagree a

Thamgere last time I had Precursor corvettes never had ran.gers in the sandbox game I outgunned it and upgraded it, but this should have the same stratedgy as the dread lords build a heavily armed starbase by their home planet. If U have to bait it a transport paeked at the starbase by their home planet should do the trick. I have had an attack of148 in the past that would outgunn it

Before I awnswer a question my military stratedegy is not better than this it does surprise me that the drengine r better than u or the thalans what I have to say that instead of giving them a planet raise colony instead this is why U might lose a tech on loss of the planet the Ai thinks that a war is also a cold war if U comtinuasly build a lot bigger fleet it thinks it is losing even if their is no fighting if u don't believe me pay attention to your advisors I'

The difficulty you should be playing is tough at this setting the Ai doesn't cheat with an unfair bonus instead of a better Ai. Or U don't cheat with an unfair bonus. U should be using max Cpu U should check out the opponents to make sure the economics are at 100% and everything is maxed out. Personally I would't s use the Torians the Ai needs them. The other tech trees that would be fine R the minor race terrans korath clan at least start out with everything they need the super a

The only way I know how to fight the dread lords is to stack fleets or to build starbases with serious defences by their planet.

Re.member if they r not threatening there not ready to attack. What size is your map I like immence. Pirates don't happen often enough and there are not enough of them. The bigger the population the more money. What U research helps I like planetary improvements. I don't worry about scout ships. build like four factories per t planet what is your species starting out with market places help keeo your approval at %100 and your production at %100 don't be afraid to lower either late

I would say try a harder level or play the yor the yo r would make for a challenging gam e U could buy techs U could buy starbases if U don't want to fight U could always sell the ships how many U could make survey or explorer ships arm the small races and watch them fight the major races Y U could bribe races to fight each other U could buy races out of existance but I think this is cheesy and I wont buy planets U could up your espionage do U have full espionage on all the races if you d

Wow going back the original question which is better small or large ships thats the issue why cant U assist the larger ships with military starbases ttheo lets not forget about general Montgomery and the Field marshall Rummel the desert fox. The reason why Montgomery won most of his battles is not tactics but logisstics or the reason the union beat the confederacy is because of production not better soldiers or the reason why the United states of america won world war 2 is industrializaUtion

This is not about the Torians but the regular races I'm saying that because I got the impression that some of U thought that. Every time I play I don't worry about population untill I fill up my planets. That would work unless your the Yor or Thalabs. I still would utilize my super breeder if I was Thalans by keeping my morale at %100. For the most part don't spend more than 13 turns on a tech. Unless your Torians or a nonstandardn tech I would recommend not worrying about m

Oh I forgot Influence can even give you more planets through culturally assimilation U can build on influence starbases and influence structures on your planets extreme colonization get all the extreme planets research techs that U can get your hands on then build influence structures on the extreme planets in the allies sector also remember the more popul ation the more influence u could even trade for influence points

That is true that U can a colony ship out and build a colony ship from the planet and colonize nearby I would do both methods send out colony ships and colonize fro m there all I can say is who R your neighbors like the Thalans Torians the mody the Korath the terrans The Krynn might out colonize but if it is one of the others U can colonize around them preferabl y sh but the yor drath dengin or not my version of the Korath R neighbors Do U have any BC left U can rusheconom research military p

I'm surprised that this works U would lose population this way. Why R they not going after Higher PQ planets Yoour ur capital and planets with wonder I would go after your high population centers even if I dont conquer them this would cripple your income Im guessing this is not enough to work

I did see this a few times this takes the fun out of the game my friend did this with the dread lords and dark avatar expansion he traded ships for planets to the point all the races had traded all thier planets he won the game this way he was playing the Altarians I myself had traded for planets withnological economic capitals hyperion shrinkers and other wornders even class 26 planets why will stardock not give us an option to shut this off or take this out of the game I also shut off surre

Well for the most part the AIs fight cold war not a war what this means in a war the AIs instead of fighting build bigger fleets. If U time this wrong your screwed the Thalans like the other AI's declare war before they R ready they will declare war and then modilize that means for a long time they won't attack untill U attack them but when they he better ttack if U dont attack early it will be with transports. What will also help U is at the start of the game part of the Thalans stre

Well when the Torians hit the Econ wall they have 4 times as much cash on research than anyone else Turning up the taxes and you still want to keep your approval between 70 and 75 percent and instead of lowering the production as low as possible lower the production low enough to make only 1 bc per week mysawell still function during this period and let your population grow while U recover

We forgot this is about the Torians not the Yor; I think U need to find a Yor post. Now about the Torians I don't think they have the best super ability. I this the super hive, super isolationists, super adapter, and super breeder R on par with each other. I have found that at an approval of %100 have an awsome quadruple population has an awesome early on effect, but don't forget that there will come a day when U don't have %100 approval nterlling your super breeder ability

What I'm going to say about torian tech tree is that at the start of the game it is well balanced. The Terrans R also well balanced the one thing I have to say about the Central mine is this U can only build one per planet. So if your the Yor for instance U can build more factories at the beginning and have a bigger industrial base. There R other races with more factory capability at the beginning. The Temple of memories is not worth it build Entertaunment network instead and

I would like to say that if U don't develope a basic stradegy U won't be able to play multiple races. U will notice I have mentioned multiple stradegies here For the most part what worked in Dread lords and Dark Avatar works here. 2 things U need to look at right off the bat is what improvements U can biold right off the bat and what your tech tree looks like. Things that R base that U need to be concerned with is industrial research ecomic morale and later farming. it i

I , now this is underhanded, but in 2007 I was looking for the Galactic civilization source code, and I have found a website for the source code for a lot of stradegy games. The Fbi closed down the website. Dont they say once something is on the internet U can never get rid of it. that means U need a more resourceful person than me, but if your resourceful enough U should be able to find that
