Trade ports work as follows (AFAIK :)) Sins works out the longest chain - this gives you a value of X Every trade port gets X credits. So if you have 2 on a planet, that planet gets 2X. If you have 3, it gets 3X. So putting 10 on a planet is good if you have a reasonably well established chain. i.e. Building 10 trade ports for your empire on a single planet will generate less income then putting one on 10 planets as you don't get the bonus factor from your

Itsmevic was online the other week and asking The Monk questions. The Monk whispered me and asked if he even realised who he was asking advice from (since he had ripped into him). And you have also made a point - the game is setup to use P2P - The Monk has told people how to do it and gets blasted for it.

OMG - you cannot let your gripe go can you. How come you don't go as hard in the game as you do on the forums??? You don't quit posting at the first sign of someone else, unlike when their fleet shows up...

Nah - mine was worse :) It took me 20-30 minutes, plus some resource injections to get past the first planet with a fleet (i.e. take down the militia and colonise the planet) so I could fight an actual player!!!

5v5 game 1 phase lane from my homeworld out to a desert planet Milita is: 7x cobalt, 3xLRM, 4xGarda, 3xkodiak, 4xKrosov Cykur has proclaimed this the worst start he has ever seen - can anyone beat it???
Why didn't they just release all these changes in small bite-sized chunks to keep us occupied, rather than waiting to release everything in one giant patch?
Because this way they get a big patch for you to download with impulse :)

I still do not think that people should be able to pick individual start locations. Team starting positions perhaps (which for FFA is the same), but not individual positions. This will stop placing team mates in pre-defined start positions and thereby stopping team build orders for certain maps.

Watch the replays of those games you are getting worked in - see what the other person does and learn from it. e.g. Did he send out scouts and you didn't? If so, he knows where you are and that you don't have a fleet and builds a fleet to attack you at the cost of expanding.. Did you try and colonise the wrong planet first and that took all your time while he did 2 roids quickly and went from there??? etc...

It is not normal if that is all that is logged in(in my experience - playing Australian evening + weekend during the day). It is normal if that was all there was in the lobby as the other people were playing games. There is a counter in the top right corner that shows how many are online. If they are not actually in the lobby, then they are in game. Hope that helps.

Bump Only because over the weekend (in the same game) 1) I was ejected from the game repeatedly without a reason (I incidentally returned to find out why repeatedly until I was told I was an "expert"). There were a number of FU comments from one of the opposite guys with no explanation forthcoming... 2) Had the host just quit with no warning as he and his ally was losing The main reason for this was THE HOST DID NOT PUT ANYTHING IN THE TITLE OTHER THEN 2v2 SO NO ONE KNE

I have voiced this in other threads as something needed in a new patch for reasons as indicated. I am lucky - I can host so I hav good stats due to not being kicked out by a loosing host...
