I did not saw this problem in the normal non 2.0 TA.
Tegramon
Did anyone noticed the AI dropped their intelligence level from before the version 2.0?
I built a Terror Star and I waited for it's mobilization. When it reaches the last turn and I end the turn, the game always crashes. Any idea as to why? I reloaded my savegame, now my savegame crashes also, can't access my game at all.
My civ apparently has the MinorRace tech tree. Where is the recruiting center there? Do you know a tech tree based on pure good civ's?
What tech does recruitment center give you when you use Custom Civilization?
Nope, it was not, I joined my Empire with my character, but before that, it seems to me an Emperor is not stricto senso part of an empire.
If I create an Empire, I see myself listed as Emperor but NOT part of my empire. When I log in from the game, I dont see I am part of any empire at all. Do I also need to specifically join my empire?
Hey guys Checked into Metaverse some time ago and it was full of dead link, even Manage my Account was/IS broken. Could somebody bother to fix those? It's no big deal that one can't access his account page ... In other news, how is one able (if he is able[e digicons]:|[/e] ) to delete an created character and/or empire? I am trying to get rid of a character and an empire I created for test ... nothing, zilch, nada. T.
Where is the economic capital in the terran tech tree? I can't find it at all.
Well, I found the perfect mix, or at least on normal levels. I take all the planets I can get, small or big, does not matter. The trick is to not build anything at all, till they can self sustain themselves. Then I pump a trading center on each planet and go with factories and/or research center. At least for the beginning of the game it works. However, should I put a starport on each planet? I know you can defend them better, but I guess the maintenance is only 1 bc. What do you say of that str
Hey Zydor Your absolutely right. Started a game, and advanced quite quickly by building tons of colonizers to catch planets. However this time, from the start, I did not built anything at all on them. As soon as I got them, I waited for them to have more income than expenditure. This threw me a little in a yellow income, but it soon turned green. This strategy worked flawless, slowly I had 4-5 planets, 70% approval, and 200 BC per month in early game. With imperialism, but of course, my
I always run out into monetary problems early on. What happends is that I try to grab as much planets as possible early on, and of course my economy is spireling down to zero. The only solution is to put taxes to 0 for several turns (I dont know if it is good to cut social spending in the domestic economy screen COMPLETLY) untill the population grows. Is there a way to expand quickly yet support your planets?
economy will help with research, you don't need that many labs actually. just one or two on each planet, but if you have a postive economy going with high morale for each planet, it is easier to swtich focus on research on each planet, because morale might drop back a bit, but you can always switch back to social production later on.
So you are saying that if I dont have my focus on the social area the morale of the people on the planet drop?
Which is better as a race? Economy or Research? In bonus areas of course. In TA it seems to me that research is a little harder, in DA I could reach quite easily the end of the tree for a technological victory. Here it is a little harder. The problem is, that in order to have a good research, you need several 20 or so planets with lots of labs in them, and this of course require a lot of economy. What are your suggestions?
I name mine to sound beautifull phonetically, with no meaning whatsoever.
After the latest update I dont see my Custom Race anymore in the load screen. I checked the my documents folder on Vista and there is an Empire and an XML file. What is the problem?
Hey, after the update through stardock, my empire file was gone. I customized it to the brim but it is not in the load empire window anymore. I searched in my Documents folder, and it is there, but the game cannot see it. Any ideas?
I used to play on Normal with 5-6 races on a huge map, Dark Avatar, and I always won. No matter what victory type I chose, I always won. Now, tried the new expansion on Normal, having 2 ascension crystals under my control, 4 out of 5 empires declared me war based on that. And not only that, although I was freaking evil, all the evil empires like the dengin, still hated me! Anyone got similar experience? :)
CobraA1, my team is made by me, my soul and my spirit :) The Game itself is a spinoff of the Civ idea. Basicly your a God ... and that's it. You dont move anything, you dont do anything, you just influence, and based on your influence, you can create mountains, etc. Anyway, the only 3d would be in a 3d map and probably a heaven and a hell, rendered only for fighting's sake, something similar to the invasion screen in GalCiv. One of my favorite games is the space sim BattleCruiser Millen
Im looking to get into GameDev, that's why I ask, what would be your professional opinion for an ex network programmer comming from a nix and bsd background? From scratch (in house engine baking) or some XNA stuff or even OGRE?
Is the engine baked inhouse?
Using the Terran Tech Tree, what technologies do I need to choose from the one 200 points in order to reach the same starting level as I reached in at the very beginning of the game in Dark Avatar?
Can I erase my core designs for a custom race? I know the game does not let me, but it I want to do it anyhow. They just take up space in my list. Is there a way?
Sad we cannot play multiplayer :D
It is there. Disabled show pre release and it appears in all it's glory and magnificence.
