I get 100% alt-tab crashes as well in DA1.8f or TAb2a. Very annoying, however I made an assumption that this was known, seeing as ALT-tabbing is common enough, and easy to replicate. When i get home, hopefully I'll remember to grab that smart exception thing from "teh free stuff" as Kryo so elegantly put it

LULZ that is all.
Use DA 1.8f patch found in the bug forum posted by carielf
Just bought DA, and now you guys are making me want to run back to my nice, safe GalCiv DL, with no Peacekeepers/makers/whatever and none of these 'pirates', at least not in any of my games there.
Turn off mega events then... to be honest Ive had the peace kepper event maybe 3-4 times in my life... its very rare, then again thats all subjective to play style, and sheer volume of games you play. <a href="https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/" title="Posted
Use patch 1.8f posted by Carielf in the bug form. tha will fix the fleet movement bug.
It would not take 3-5 years to dominate a population such as Earths. Imagine Mass Drivers, (anyone seen Babylon5?), Earth would colelctively surrender all forms of government within a week, and all that would remain is small gorilla fighters. Mass drivers are insane, imagine, smashing an asteroid into earth...Thats death, maybe even an extinction level event. Maybe 1 on 1 fighting would take ages, but noone would do that, everyone would use all advantages to press for a surrender. <a hr
I notice tech trading homogenizes the gameplay, so I turn it off, in fact I can probably count on my hands the amount of times I've played with it on. I find it more fun, however for the more serious players that expand rapidly on high difficulty level (crippling and above), I can see the need to sell the tech for cash.
good story so far... keep it up
Are you saying its normal for logistics to goto 0 during plague? I just played another game and got plague as Korath and my logistics were fine. (I made sure to check). So which one is it?
I've really got to wonder if the Drengin and Korath are too powerful, though. In every game I've played against them, they've been coming down on me with obscenely powerful ships in huge waves, thanks to their combination of weapon ability, quick weapon research, and effective colony rush. Whenever I've played as them, I just steamrolled the opposition. The Korath have it especially good, since their production is absolutely obscene, they get most of the same martial advantages as their D
Ive never seen the plague set logistics to 0 in DA....I also saw enemy fleets....
Another bug, another sent save. (YOR still) Having 3 meduim hulls in a fleet... when 1 gets destroyed, the thumbnail for the fleet still shows 3 ships, although there is only 2 listed.
Well I just had the plague event, however I was playing as the Yor so I assumed that it would not effect them. Instead it seems to do something else. After this event, the next turn I tried to fleet a couple of ships, but it said I couldnt, apparently my logistics ability got set to 0! (i.e. I have no logistics points!) Needless to say I saved the game. Emailed the save. Be wary of the plague as Yor!!!! Also I noticed this in beta1/2 as well as 2a, is it meant f
My suggestion, Make 300% morale tile occur at the same variance of the 300% food tile. Either that, or I like the idea of giving a small morale bonus if the farm is built on a farm tile. I do think that a 300% morale tile is needed, if not to balance out the 300% food.
Yes the latest patch 1.8e should be removed from SDC simply because the bug is such a showstopper. Why it is left up I haven't the foggiest idea. 1.8f has a improper fleet movement calculation bug, where it says you have 0.2-0.4 extra in a movement and you really do not. Very annoying.
Offer the captial planet back as part of the peace treaty, chacnes are they'll take it.
Problem fixed for 2a.
Which is .... where?
I'll make my Yor leader's name HK-47! Yesss.....that will fit quite nicely....
QFL Quoted for Laughs On a side note wheres the beta!! (impatient
Well the victory condition , i would think, would deal with the terrorstars.
Ah finally, a System Lord like me can have ships worthy of being commanded by their god!
Perhaps an Atlantian Battleship?
I've finished playing a game using DA 1-8f. I've found a movement error bug, but I was unable to save it. It doesn't appear to be something that you can save. Long story short, fleeted ships don't always travel the full distance that they can travel in one turn.
Noticed this too... always a extra 0.2weeks or 1/2-1 move left! very annoying,
I hate how the research screen pops up every 20 seconds.
I never use the yellow food squares unless I ahve a >20pq planet. Any morale tile on the planet warrants a political capital (great morale boost!), and then some extra morale buildings, followed by tonnes of markets. On the home planet it is not a great idea to get into the 20B> club. There simply isnt enough tiles. Treasury, I beleive is how much money you have on hand, (sitting around doin nothing).. Not 100% positive, but I think thats it, hopefully someone can interject if they need
700% manufacturing/labs are still in DA, not sure about Dl, but I would assume so. They are very very rare.I see a planet with them in maybe 1/8 games. (of course depending on how many planets your playing. I often wondered why there was no 300%morale, it would go good with the 300% farming.
Wheres the beta????
