My memory is that we were told the editors would way until the full version was released. Getting an editor in Beta is a gift to me. If Stardock wants to say no more gifts if anyone does what we don't want then thats cool.

There could be two arms of space mining: one for gathering the raw ore from asteroids and another for processing and production work at economic space stations and/or the resource space stations.
If I have a fleet with a ship containing a warp bubble (of any variety) the first turn back after loading a saved game the fleet will not use the warp bubble in its movement. Ship A: 4 mp and +3 warp bubble Ship B: 5 mp Ship C: 5 mp This fleet would show 5/8 as its movement speed. It has not moved yet for the turn, and it can only move 5 spaces (so Ship A is getting some bonus mp) Even if I saved the game at the end of a turn, all movement completed, and then
I had a Terran small fleet consisting of: 1) a cargo hull with fleet warp bubble III 2) a transport ship with 1 Billion happy colonists/troops on it 3) a Colony ship with 500 hardy colonists on it They entered the space of a heavy gravity planet I wanted to colonize (and had the required tech to do so). The colony ship deposited its colonists and the other two ships remained in the square adjacent to the planet, but lo and behold the graphics showed the colony ship as still
I had a mining starbase destroyed last night, but its sensor must have still been online and sending back data to my control center... ;) as the fog never came back for that area.
gives me more time to finish my current game. :)
They do nothing for the Drengin as well.
I've seen at least the Yor build Research coordination centers before building any research academies on several planets, also both of those were being constructed before any factories were built so it was all taking a very long time. Admittedly this was at normal to brilliant intelligence level for the Yor.
I would assume that most of the guys doing the 3-D artwork are not the ones doing the AI coding (since that is Brad anyway) and they may be part of a team who help come up with ideas, but I personally would doubt that we have lost too many features due to the artwork. But I was wrong once before in my life, so it may be time for it to happen again. ;)
Kryo, How long after TA's release do you think you will need to get your Mod running with it? ;)
Sorry, double post.
Even if there are civilians left on conquered planets it does not mean they are going to fight for you as effectively as they fought for their own civilization. That said it would be nice to be able to model in, different cultures fighting alongside each other with differing bonuses. But the game doesn't suffer without it.
My miners, even if not on auto-improve, will not automatically start building the turn they arrive at an asteroid belt from auto-move.
Actually, their customer service is probably second to none because they're a small, independent developer. Larger companies don't have to keep their customers as happy to succeed, and there's too many customers to do so anyway - compare this to a smaller company with fewer customers that relies more on repeat business. Obviously they're going to do what they can to keep us coming back.
Remember though that Stardock makes its money building application softwa
{attention}Salute!{atease}
:CONGRAT: Complete agreement here!
I know this was reported after Beta 1, but I wanted to make sure it hadn't fallen through any cracks. The Ion Beam Techs still to not award any weapons to the Drengin, and the Disruptor techs are still researchable after Ion Beam I. Also The Drengin weapons techs seem to be fairly sparse. Missles go straight from Photon Torpedos to Nightmare Torpedos (If my memory is correct) Is this going to change?
Last night my Drengins got the Terrans to pay a few hundred credits for Slave Pits... That seemed a bit anachronistic.
Looks great!!! Will there be different types of soldiers animated in the invasion screen? By that I mean will you be able to see if the troops are regular marines or space marines and can you tell the race by looking at the troops??? I for one would think that would be fantastic (thou I know that a lot of people don't care )
Can you quickly send someone to clean up the large puddle of drool forming next to my keyboard?
The Good choice = "+ 10 % production and - 25% morale" while the evil choice would gain us: "+ 20% morale and - 25% production"
Play at lower difficulties! In some of my easier games I have had trouble getting the opponents to dislike me.
I still have a paper to write that is due today... Cough ... cough... I feel a cold coming on.
-1 week is an alternate way of saying never. You apparently haveno military production set for that planet.
Woot! Seriously, have fun. If you have trouble making money, and everyone does, then build more markets and banks... or trade techs for cash. have fun If you are wondering what to research, researching one line of weapon types deeply is more cost effective than trying to research all of them a little bit. The opposite is true with defenses. have fun Do silly things, and know that it ok to restart and try something else, or save and try
