In response to Shmn_y's point (no not a "burn the heretic at the stake post...) I tried the demo first, and I did enjoy it enough to buy the game I did not enoy it anywhere near as much as I have enjoyed the full version. The game is not for everyone, but if you enjoy space based strategy games this is as good as any out there.

Solitaire, Hearts, Minesweeper... Ever try Age of Wonders II: Shadow Magic? Great Fantasy Strategy game with a little RPG to it, you'd have to get a no CD crack though to bypass having the CD in the drive... There are a couple of good games for download like Dominions III and some others, I am not that familiar with them so not sure what to reccommend. You can download Steel Panther's World at War and/or Steel Pan
Since you have stated before it is your work on business systems that provides the money for your company, and the work on the games is icing on the cake I will assume that the impact on your bottom line in dealying a release until 2008 is not a significant concern (or at least one that as a CEO you are willing to account for). I will also take the fact that you asked the question of us at face value and assume that our answers actually do mean something to you. (That it is easy to bel
To clarify how warp bubbles and similar fleet-speed-enhancing (FSE) modules work: If the ship is by itself, it will get the speed bonus + its base speed. If the ship is in a fleet, the best FSE module in the fleet becomes the active FSE ship. The movement points for this ship are ignored when calculating the fleet speed. So, the fleet's moves will be based off of the ship with the least moves in the fleet (not counting the active FSE ship) plus th
I too changed the specs of a ship and then renamed it the same as before "Hvy Fighter 1" and it is now not appearing in the shipyard or as a build option from the planet screen. It is only available when I go to "build ships" from the galaxy screen. I have a save game if necessary.
You know, I really, really, really appreciate how much you all care about us gamers. I've only been playing since August, but I have been completely impressed by your responsiveness. Thank you.
Capped the number of stars in a galaxy to reduce the amount of memory usage.
There had been some discussion I thought about backing out this change, or making it an option to turn off and on. Is there any further comment or thought on this change?
I am assuming saved games from 1.6 will not run. Or am I wrong and they will run under 1.8. Oh and thanks!
Yes, you are right about the zillions. It has been way too many years since I have read the book.
Sorry couldn't read the subject without thinking of "Bugs! Mr. Rico, Millions of them!" At least that is how I remember the Starship Troopers' quote.
Hi, I have an 11 year old and 8 year old sons, we got an XBOX 360 last year at christmas time. For the most part it has been worth it. (They have both Halo and Halo 2, but I have not bought Halo 3... yet ) It can be tough finding truly age appropriate games, though it is getting easier. If it was only for an 11 year old I would not be as concerned though. As said ab
It is my understanding that it is intended. As you start the campaign there are only certain techs available in the first missions, and this expands as you go deeper into the campaign. I have only been playing for a little over a month so I am not an expert though.
