So it would be a good time to invest into uranium mining companies then ? That's good news for uranium miners, who supply the basic power source needed for nuclear reactors. Uranium is now priced at around $120 per pound, from just $7 in December 2001. But it's also good news for everyone involved in the nuclear construction and of course, the clean-up industry. T

Birthrates continue to decline (the trend is starting now) and Europe fades into oblivion. Ah although the negative birthrate is quite clear, i think the european union will be kept alive by immigration, and if it continues soon it wont be the european union, turkey may soon gain membership, and with the way Israel, is in the european football cup, and eurovision maybe the union will try to make Israel and countries around it join them. <div cla

Just intrested to see what people will think . i myself can picture, future oil crisis, the impact of fusion if it has become a net energy gain, future energy wars about fusion, and something on the scale of the industrial revoulotion for countries with fusion <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/BigSmile.gif" border=

Miners already have an automate option. Yeah, but then they run out of asteriods in my area of influence, and give the message saying they cant find them, so i just put them on sleep and even when i get new mining techs, or the ability to mine new asteriods, i forget to automate my miners ! i demand someone makes a mod that nags me every 20 turns, to say "check y

The blurb on this site makes it sound very similar to this game but with many of the things that users have been requesting you to add to this game. Is it not a turn based game as well? Did Stardock have no input into the design cat all? What makes it unique? It is an RTS game, Gal Civ is a turn based game It has superior graphics You can individually command your fleets and ships Although it has similarities with gal civ 2, it is a

Did you build the Mind Control Center? Does it bug influence taking over planets? That would explain on why when i had 35 influence points on a torian planet, and it wouldnt flip, other planets nearby also were in the double digits, this would be a good thing to stop people going evil all the time

You didn't read my post. I already said the Christians of old Europe had some fun, which is inclusive of the crusades and the Spanish inquisition. So by your Logic Christians had their fun Warring in the Crusades, Turning America into Colonial provinces, Destroying Civilizations such as the Aztecs in the name of Isabella, who was divinely appointed by God. The Spanish Armada which aim was to Destroy the Heathens of the same Religion in England.

My method of securing Mining starbases, is to park a constructor there, make a ship capable of defeating the constructor, compell a civilization to goto war with the owner of the ship, or find an exsisting enemy of the civilization with the starbase, and gift the ship capable of destroying the starbase to the enemy, and 9/10 they destroy the starbase for me

Why stop the AI colonizing worlds.. when you can let them develoup them, and then swoop in and take multiple planets in a coordinated strike as soon as transports come in. Thats what i did in my last Sucidal game, went 100% research strat but my starting world has 700% bonus research tile so i built nothing but research there untill i had transports, made transport ships on tiny hull fighters, built one every 3 turns, and i took half one of the AI's empire really fast <img src="http://images.sta

Econ event happend and it had been on for about 3 years or so which made a good game, i had advance on the Krynn and looked at their budget as i was considering a economic treaty, and i started to cry when i looked at their spending.. since they put 10k a turn into spying, yet in that game (Beta version .3 btw) i never got one spy against me even though i was their number one enemy latter in the game. Its like 10k a turn could of just been spent so much better.

I think factories only is a clearly superior approach, because you can turn factories off. Also, I think that it would be very difficult to keep up in the early game with the AI players with a no factories startegy, especially on the higher difficulty levels. For obscene and sucidal, the factory approach will mean you suck at research, the AI wont trade with you tech for tech too in the recent patches, it only is capable of pullin of victory in giant map

Intresting how people point out all the crimes that have been carried out in the name of Islam, but do not forget Slavery was commited in the name of Christianity taking Africians and using them for slave labour, i recall it is a story about Abraham(might not be him im not a bible scholar after all) having three sons, and he was nakid and putting on clean clothes, the three sons walked in to tell him something, and one of the sons laughed, as punishment Abraham said to the son laughing you will

Well in sucidal i have never had any more then half of my planets garissoned.. well thats probably because neutral is nice on buying ships, and 100% research strat makes my production suck, but i hardly ever lose planets because my ships are mobile, fast and can destroy fleets of the enemy since i can custom tailor each ship to exploit my enemies strength's and weaknesses

An interesting theory, the wall of ships. Not going to use it but to each their own. My personal silly strategy is to build farms after my first factory. I know, I know it makes no sense yet it seems to work for me. My quetion is that if LostHero is playing on Suicidal, which is way past my skill level, why does his little medal say Cakewalk? Just curious, thatns for listening because he does not play sucidal, and plays it where Player has an advantage o

I was playing the Terran alliance. But if you are the attacker, you still get the first shot advantage! No you dont.. only super warrior gets a first shot ability.. You may be thinking of, if you have faster engines and both ships fire and can destroy each other with one round, the one with the fastest engine speed wins and escapes with 1hp, and since Humans nearly always have faster engines.. people assume <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/sm

showing slight muscle to Asian countries is about it. Their current rockets could hit Japan but it will be awhile to hit the States. But I doubt they would ever use NUKES. Its just a deterrant. Not really a deterrant since they already got China. But saying to the western world, i will give up nuclear bombs up in exchange for $10 billion dollars of aid works though, they have done it before <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Laugh.gif" bord

You probably don't know the names of the most dangerous people alive as they are by and large appointed instead of elected. But as a body it might be the citizens themselves who are content with bread and circuses instead of paying attention to what the government of any country is doing or how corporate and government policies effect third world countries and the middle east. So who is going to win the next American Idle? With that noted we must
