Once again you prove that GC2 & it's expansions are not only the best turn based stratergy game ever, but also the best value for money ever. You just keep on giving. Thank you. P.S. can't wait for elemental.

[quote]Each race now has techs they "must" trade for if they want to get. Iconians have no advanced government techs. The Thalans have no farms. The Arceans have no engine techs. The list goes on.On the whole, it makes tech trading a much stronger part of the game now. When you're in the trade window, any techs with an "*" next to them are race specific. No, this completely breaks, ruins, and destroys the game, fucks balance up the ass, and removes the entire point of the unique tech trees.Torian
Sorry but their house, their rules. Clearly when you signed on for the account it stated in the conditions that abusive language would not be tolerated. You broke that condition and got unlucky because you where reported, tough break but your own fault. Also how did you know the girl was fat?
You probably just need to know wht folder you need to save the XML into. For some reason this has not been documented anywhere. Honestly I can't believe the lack of documentation on how to use the editors and where under the file structure to save and find files, it makes what look like pretty feature rich editors frustrating and useless.
Yes it's very confusing and not at all intuitive or easy to find or of course documented. On My PC, I downloaded via Stardock and installed Stardock on my D: drive they could be found in; D:\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Twilight\Metaversedata\English\Tech Trees\ No where near the default directory the editor opens into and not documented with the editor of course. I still haven't tracked down the vanilla data for most the other editors yet. Honestly I
I have to agree that the editors suffer from missing manual syndrome big time and I speak as an IT professional with 10 years experience of programming and application integration. The main problem is your failure to properly explain what some values mean or how the file structure works. Where do I save my custom tech tree? Improvements, ship components, etc. Where do I find the standard one's, after searching about for a while I found the standard races tech trees, bu
I have never played a turn based strat. game multiplayer ,(even those that have it) and have no desire too.
It is a bit odd that you have so many problems, I've actually honestly in many hundreds of hours playing DA, DL & now the TA Beta never had the game actually crash on me. I have seen the invisible ship bug in the TA Beta but actually never had it in DA or DL. Then again I played them on my old machine which was a different configuration so may be that's why, who knows, I'm pretty certain I've heard other people have encountered that bug in DA. As you say though your post is ess

Actually I think in ToA it's the racial tech trees that really define the races now, to my mind super abilities are almost redundent now. And with the tech editor I think I could add cheap early tech that represented a sort of super ability.
From reading this and the other thread here discussing IP and copyright it can clearly be seen that some people have an enormous sense of entitlement to use other peoples work without paying them anything. They would like there to be no laws governing IP. That would mean an end to the video game, music, book and film industries, these things take a lot of time and resources to make and people need to make a living so making these things needs to be profitable anyone who doesn’t understa
Personally I haven’t got a problem with people using DRM to try and protect their IP, provided that it doesn’t interfere with my legitimate use of my own computer, open it to security problems or cause damage to hardware like my DVD drive, (that noise my drive makes with the Crysis DVD in can not be good I don’t care what EA say).. I agree Piracy is bad for everyone in the long run and would not pirate software, people have a right to expect to be paid for their work, if you won’t pay,
Yes Inertia means that the mass of an object will affect its manoeuvrability. In a vacuum it’s shape that doesn’t matter because of lack of friction with the air.
It is a little mean I would have given it about 70%, it's really not a great game but it's not 4 out of 10 bad.
Piracy has nothing to do with Crysis not selling more; Crysis was a game which essentially was aimed at very, very high performance PCs. I have such a PC and at least the first half of the game is great and it truly does look amazing on a top end rig like mine…but even on my machine which is cutting edge I get about 20 – 30 FPS at 1024 x 768 on Very High settings. So Crytek essentially produced a game which was too demanding for 90% of PC gamers, it will sell more as people upgrade and
Really, cool I'll have to check when I get home. I normally only check on a Thursday evening since they normal release between 10 and 11.30 pm on a Thursday (UK Time). P.S. In that case I can't help.

I’m very excited about Spore, I should add the cartoon graphics don’t bother me at all and fit the game very well for a number of reasons; 1. It is not possible to simulate a realistically sized planet with a realistic population in any detail on any PC today. For this reason they’ve had to go for tiny “Little Prince” type planets if they had a realistic art style it would clash with these caricatured scaled down planets. 2. 3. As has been indicated making realistic looking cre

I'm inclined to believe it does affect the roll to determine how good an Anomaly is, I do seem to notice a marked increase in good out comes with it. Also I have to say I think it helps the roll to see if you discover something with the Creative ability too. I had no idea about the weapons damage thing, though it does explain the affectiveness of some of my ships. I wonder if we could get official clarification?
The new fantasy strategy game sounds really interesting can’t wait to hear more about it and the idea of GC3 using the same engine is also very intriguing. Beta 5 of TA also sounds good. Anyway thanks for giving us the update.
How about for the once yearly vote the race with most influence get's to choose the proposal regardless of if that is the player or another race?
I can’t help but agree the Iconians have massive economic problems; partly because of high building maintenance, partly because they lack advanced forms of government. Although there tech tree is interesting, the Iconians are the weakest race in the game hands down because of this problem. I struggle so much more with them than any other race.
In TA it depends more on the race, some races can stand higher populations than others because of better morale technology, and disposition. Generally though with the exception of the Thalian home world I try never to go above about 20bil.
Actually I noticed the way resources had changed too, rather liked it though it did make them hard to see. Didn't consider if it was a bug.
