Tao or Dao, is exactly what I thought of when hearing the phrase 'The Way'. But I can see that many real world religions would refer to their teachings as 'The Way' and Taoism is just an interest of mine so I know a lot about it. It’s kind of integral to a religious view point that you believe you have knowledge of the correct 'Way' of living and that people with other beliefs don't and could benefit from being shown ‘The Way’ so to speak. Out of interest what was the actual wo

Indeed I know developing a spore like editor is far from easy or quick, but of course once you did you could use it in all sorts of future games so the investment could be worth it. That’s why I don’t suggest it for a GC2 add on. I also think that the cost of development will come down in the future as people in the industry start becoming familiar with the techniques involved and GC3 is probably still a long way off.
Thanks for your help ! I'll download it from stardock, and package it out somehow ! Thanks Again Ps. i quite like the look of GalCiv II myself, being an old MOO and MOO2 player
I loved Moo and Moo2 and was really sad when Moo3 turned out to be so bad. But GC2 has saved the day for me if y
First of all Galactic Civilization 2 is great and TA looks like it will make it even better. But one issue this sort of game has always had is making a visually distinct custom race, complete with diplomatic animations, etc is beyond the scope of most users requiring 3D rendering software. Also Galactic Civilization 2 doesn’t show you a scientist of your race when presenting technology which would be nice. As would some more personalized invasion movies, etc. Obviously though Stardoc ha
I do agree I think it would be interesting to see a more thematic super ability. Maybe supper cheerful or something along those lines. Although now I come to think about it supper spy does fit well after all they may have followers of all races who can easily blend in to those other cultures and gain positions of power. Also since their own people would have a tendency to be very loyal to the cause that would explain why they are so good at defensive spying.
I think there are a few technologies like this which should clearly not be trade able but seem to be at the moment. Maybe a review of them is in order. Am I right that a non-tradeable technology should not be available to steal or gain when taking over a planet either?
Yes I've noticed I can trade for, gain through conquest or steal the technology needed to make precursor libraries and I think it's a bug 2 from the description.
I agree with the OP sometimes being good should have the benefit, it's always seemed strange to me that the eveil option is always best.
In evolutionary terms to compare Galactic Civilization to Galactic Civilization II is like comparing an early amphibian to a Human. It is more fun and sophisticated in every way and the expansions to GC2 mean it’s still continuing to evolve, by far the best 4X space strategy game to date and the latest expansion due out in January is going to transform the game further giving all races their own tech tree, improvements, etc. Did I mention unlike GC1 you can design your own sh
Under Victory conditions the total conquest condition test is missing, giving a missing text type error. When playing as the Korath clan; The Ion Cannons do not appear as ship components after I have researched any of the Ion Cannon Technology. Also Slave Imagining pits always appear on the list of things to build even once you have research centres.
How about the option to build ships that have only thrusters for movement in normal space and so effectively are confined to orbit around the planet that creates them. This would effectively give some more room in whatever hull size you chose and allow you to build an Orbital defence platform around your planet. You could also add a fighter ship type which is a tiny ship like a tiny orbital defence platform that has no space warping engines. These ships can only leave orbit in
Ok a few ideas from me; 1.) Space monsters/Pirates. e.g. these could appear and head for random worlds as in Moo2 and would give good reason to invest in weapons early on with less agressive civilizations as oponents. Also they could be used to guard anomalies as others have said. 2.) The specific missions for spies on a planet e.g. Information gathering, technology theft, fermenting insurection, sabatage. 3.) Weapons at or near the top of a tech tree that can a.) dest
Ok well I have a few suggestions although I’m a bit late to the table with them. Two new weapons; 1 – A planet destroyer; should be the second from highest tech weapon that costs a lot to research, is very expensive to build and so big it will only fit on the biggest ship type. Should be able to destroy any planet and replace it with some asteroids you can mine. This way it would allow you to convert unusable planets into a resource. 2 – A Super Nova Missile; The ultimate
