And in fact, in one of Frogboy's Gameplay journal/examples, he says that the Pirates vary among either just galactic rogues, but some might be a vanguard force for an as-yet undiscovered race that's powerful to send fleets at unlimited range. Also, he mentioned there might be a correlation between the Pirates and the disease (because both happened at the same time.)

May I ask a question? That Pirate civilization you mentioned (lurking in the unexplored depths of our galaxy) would they ever be included in a future expansion? Or the Xendar-Terran war (that's been mentioned but not really shown in the game.)

Is it realistic to expect that there will eventually be different tech descriptions for technologies among different races? I thought that's how it would be, but, for instance, some techs say the exact same thing no matter who you play as.

Prevents starbase usage for certain races? What?
I think a wormhole generator could be implemented. Not like a ship wormhole generator, but a wormhole generator station, somewhat like a starbase. Since this would really shake up the game, it would be very high up in the tech tree. The starbases could link up to other wormhole starbases or existing wormholes.
You do know that's basically what I said?

For a, what about Dread Lord graveyards only? For c, the difference is, does the crew of a Korx or Thalan (using non-important races as an example) have time to get the information out of their computers as a doom ray slices them in half? It seems that if not, some info would be available. How about this, then: a. Parts for a ship b. Sell to Pirates to stop them attacking you. c. Rebuild wrecks at nearest space-port (Decrease production time?)

Yes, I noticed. There's also a Battle Command Center available as the Terrans- and assumingly, the Drengin and Arceans as well. The thing is, this is an Arcean improvement, it has to do with First Striking. At least, I think it's Arcean.

Okay, never mind this, but there's something else. I got back into the game after upgrade and built some Terran Constructers. They were invisible! I couldn't see them, but they existed. Also, it crashed again after I went to the Events Log.

Well, actually, now that I look at it again, it seems to be a bit different. The colors are what made me make the connection. It looks kind of slavish, and has the Orion colors- green and black. But very cool improvement graphic!

On the list of fixed things, it said 'Lock up when trading certain techs'. I'm updating now, but before, I was playing Terrans and put Xeno Researchers on the trade table. My very act of clicking it caused a crash. My question is, is this the same thing?

Yeah, I like the Wormhole generation idea. Maybe, if you destroy the wormhole generator, you cause serious damage on both ends (think planets rendered radioactive/class-0, suns destroyed, starbases imploding, engines shut down), but if you just turn it off, the ship just gets destroyed. Responding to the invisible idea, maybe. But I think natural wormholes should be invisible- the logic being the Bajoran wormhole from DS9 was invisible to everyone at first, until they stumbled

Ship Graveyard: When a ship is destroyed, it creates a shipwreck (bear with me here). These shipwrecks are just floating debris, at first, that act like normal anomalies. But, if you have a certain number of them (in a single sector?) they pile up and create a graveyard. By surveying this, you could get: a. A Precursor ship (I mean a real Precursor ship, organic and everything. A Dread Lord ship/A Arnor ship) b. Parts for a ship (Improve either Military Production, Weapons,

What irritates me is only when I research an anti-Dread Lord super ship and then I'm back to Plasma weapons. PeskyFly, the Dread Lords weren't beat, they just 'withdrew'... haven't you played the DA campaign, or heard of it, where the Korath and DLs join together?

It seems to resemble the slave auction pit seen in an episode of Star Trek Enterprise. So by that logic, I'd say it's either Drengin- probably not, not enough red color- or the Korx, which seems to fit better.

Well, a comment from someone- was it Frogboy/Draginol?- struck me. It basically said that SD would continue to make new expansions for GC2 until GC3 was released, so it remained up-to-date, as GC3 wouldn't come out for a while. So here's my question- would these expansions feature campaigns as well? Now, eventually you'd run out of Terran material to do. I kind of liked the feature in DA where you were the Drengin in the campaing, is it possible that future expansions (if there

Hmm... may I suggest tying in the narrative with the events more? For instance, in my story- and in many others- briefings are held where the 'advisors' report what is going on in their particular field. It's kind of nice, also, to give more detail, not less... why give less? Also... I had the exact same idea and title, too!

Thanks! If you like squirrels with plasma rifles... wait until you see what they get when they do some 'ordinary' medical research. Yep, plague is definately the right word for the Snathi... I should add that the Snathi species is called the Snathi Horde, if you didn't get it yet from the title and references below. Chapter 3: The Game's Start January 1st, 2226 Snarky, dictator and ruler of eight billion mindless, totally evil rodentoid beings, stood at the fro

Perhaps you should get half of their ability bonuses in various categories?

Yes, I do like the idea of capturing starbases. Perhaps that's where spies could fit in? (You could only capture one if you had an espionage agent onboard?)

Thanks! I think the problem with this idea is there are so many possible additions. Originally, Super Nomad would be something like as long as you had a ship remaining, you would not be defeated (it could be a transport, or you could upgrade a ship to be a transport), and you could take a planet and 'come back from the grave'. But I liked my idea a little better.

What, no responses to this wormhole idea? In any case, I think it's a good one. I came up with this following idea: Late in the game, really late- perhaps make it off of a tech like Beyond Mortality, or Deeper Knowledge, make a tech called Artifical Wormholes. Once researched, you have the power to actually 'create' wormholes. You'd set an endpoint, and it would start somewhere- anywhere- near your core systems (older planets, but possibly not where you want it). The idea w

This has been gone a while, but- Allow ships to dock at a starbase, giving bonuses. Doing so can do a variety of things depending on the base. Influence: The arrival of a ship of the line makes the crew of that ship instant celebrities, increasing influence. Economic: More ships in the region means increased commerce on board between the crews, boosting trade. Military: Veteran troops train soldiers and support the starbase's weapons, giving it better boosts among the f

Woah, something went wrong. I tried to edit my second chapter to add a title and change some other things, and it created a brand new post. Can the post that has a chapter without a title be deleted please?
