I reinstalled the game a while ago without reregiersting. I tried to update my serial number so I could use v 3.1 but I have a problem. I changed Email adderess a few months ago so it's not the same account email that I used regesterd with. It keeps on saying that it's not the right serial number with the right E-mail address. I can't figure out what to do. I tried using the same email address I used before this.

I don't think I've ever seen a request for more types of government in GalCiv II I think there should be more types of governments that would make since for the race your playing as. I never got why would the Yor have a "demoracy" or the Drengi Empire would have a "federtion".
Stick, what did you use to model your race with? BTW if your having trouble naming your race just take a name of something and then change it to somthing differn't that's how most sci-fi writers make up names.

For some reason whenever I start a new game I start out with no techs. It does this in metavers too so modding isn't the problem. Does anyone know how to fix this?
New problem: I got the texture to work in the on game map(I think) but when click on the view it looks compelety differn't.
Anyhow, it looks like it might be the path to the texture that's the problem. Try changing it from 'mods/My mod/gfx/planets/planet1.png' to just 'gfx/planets/planet1.png'. Should also move the file to that location or could I just leave. BTW I'm not sure if that any of the custom planet tutorials are clear about that.
Ummn why not just copy the Thalan code and alter to suit? You can always place the new version in the mods folder and enable it from there Good idea thanks.

For some starnge reason my planets are "invisible". They don't have the same name as I enterd but I think there soppsed to be the same planets they have the same class and there are same number of planets.

I started working on a mod yesterday. When I started modding the tech tree the game crashed when I tried started a new game. Today I started over and today I just added in some new civiltions but it still crashes. Intersting mod idea. Could be possible to make it so that once a species reaserched the hyperdrive they can be the only that can have and that they have to give to other races like trade goods?
