I didn't have the time to try reproduce it, but I was going to do it with SmartException, don't worry

I will try to reproduce it. I have 2G of ram, nothing else running (barely I mean) and I've always been able to ALT-TAB from DL and DA without any crash. That is why I posted it as a bug.
Hey, 1- My Earth's moon is moving through asteroids. 2- When hitting ALT-TAB to go in Windows and coming back with ALT-TAB, crash. Running WinXP Pro SP2. Thanks
ahh, thanks Kryo again
hum, cannot buy with tokens?
Certain tech trees will prohibit certain techs from being able to be traded. The diplomacy screen will be updated to make it a lot easier to know what different techs do. Thanks for the answer! Looking forward to try that!
and what about tech trading? I do have some questions: 1- at first, I'll no idea what the Yor's "x" technology do if I don't have it in my tree (to check the info) ??; 2- by ignoring the behavior of the "x" technology, how can I evaluate it's value to me when offering something in exchange?; 3- if I do trade some techs, how the new techs will show in my tech tree if I don't have space for them? The new trees look awesome! This will be very effective at making each civ u
Hi, just want to share a thought with you all. I want to compare two gaming companies : Stardock and EA Sports PC using a simple example: NHL08 for PC. Last year, I was one of the most interested in the 07 game they were about to release. I had checked all the videos showing the new features, graphics, etc. The day the game came out, I tried it. I was trying to use and find the new announced features, trying to not loose 13-1 in Hard mode or win 18-0 in medium mode, hoping that
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm frustraded that I neither have a starbase strong enough to defend itself in the long run, nor do I have a fortify command that would make my fleets, that are strong enough to defend starbases, to act like one and keep quite... Pleeeeeaaaaasssee listen to him! I too want a real starbase. @Kyle: Amen, you speak my mind. Please listen to him also.
I like having lots of empty space between worlds. It makes viable worlds much more valuable (and worthy of taking by invasion or culture), and better simulates the vast distances between stars. The bigger and roomier, the better! Good point and idea! I will surely try a map like this with that in mind.
Will there be an official german version (I've heard I-mod Productions is working on a translation right now...)? If so, when will it be released and will there be a pre-order-option, too? If not, can I purchase an english version and translate it into german later on? I think it has been released already by I-MOD. Check this thread
Anyway, sounds great. While I could try to get this new expansion cheaper with a coupon, why? I think at this point Stardock has more than earned another $30. So true. And beside, 25% of 25$ is almost nothing. I'll use my 25% on Sins instead (pre-order beta)
We plan on updating the planetary invasion screen for Twiligh Just screen ? And no difference between military and civil ? That really sucks Why not delay the release and take the time to code the difference between civils and military? I think every GalCiv2 g
Kryo please answer my questions please. Will try it too, looks like it worked. Kryo please answer my questions please. "Updated Planetary Invasions" Does this means that there will be a difference between civils and military? If not, what does it mean?
First: WOUHOU !! Second: "Updated Planetary Invasions" I hope this means that there will finally be a difference between civils and military!
For that kind of programing effort Id rather the game as a whole get deeper and more complex. I'm a MP buyer (I have a friend that I like to challenge in those kind of strategic games). BUT, if I have to choose between a MP expansion and one that gets the game really deeper, more complex and more strategic, well there is no question for me (no MP please). I'll even buy two or three to thank them <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smil
Looks like I'm one year late
hum... could I get some info? like where is the forum you're talking about in this thread? Thanks
@CaptainYar Yeah you have some points. Anyway, my point is that I would suggest that Starbases should be more powerfull (and less in number). Something like more expensive (the military modules anyway), more rare, but damn harder to beat. I have no idea about what to do and what to implement for this. It is just a though.
Mining ships have asteroids from which to make the bases. Constructors don't have anything to use apart from their own hulls. Well, this is interpretation. Constructors could easily bring materials to the starbases. To construct a starbase, yes a constructor could be dismantled, but to add guns, shields? Pretty sure they don't fabricate brand new laser guns from their hull, kitchen, crew quarters... For the initial starbase, we could easily say
when is 1.7 scheduled ? approx of course.
It's somewhat dissapointing really, games are still created around the same core concepts and mechanics as they were twenty years ago for the most part, they might have new bells and whistles or flashy 3D graphics, but there's no real change in the basic ideas behind them. Well, in my opinion, the new pretty 3D graphics are kind of a problem. Many many companies rely on good-looking interface/gameplay to sell a bugged, boring game that has absolutly no d
I still have Super Metroid, Super Mario (broken), Breath of Fire (I & II), Final Fantasy III, and Chrono Trigger (its sequel was junk). Chrono Trigger. What a game. I have been completly submerged with the game. Magus was too cool with the dark magic. 5/5. I also totally agree with Super Metroid (bringing an atmosphere to a game) and The Legend of Zelda on SNES. That game was also incredible. Damn, I think I'll go rebuy those games an plug my ol
The X-Wing/Tie Fighter serie. X-Wing Alliance was the last and really brillant conclusion. Would soooo like to play a new game like this. Also, I don't remember the name, but I think it was Wing Commander Privateer. That game rocked. You played as a Privateer who takes some jobs by talking to people in cantinas or using a "job board" on every planet you visit. While taking jobs that take you everywhere in that universe, you can buy goods and sell them on different planets, where the pri
oh ok. I thought there were already weapons and armors on them. Better the way you did it, indeed. Thanks !
