Reposting my previous question about Spax's add-on since he had a "fix" .rar available for his "final" on June 29, 2006. This file was added June 28, 2006.

Based on that download for Spaxspore, is that the FINAL (real final) or the FINAL that required the FIX?

Those who own the rights to B5 have also shown more support for utilizing the images and representations in various mods for quite some time now. I certainly can't say they'll hurt any profits by continuing to generate interest in such a great show via non-profit fan made mod(or mods).

"I played this game for a little while now (little more than a month) and I find it strange to say the least that the AI builds the wrong improvements over bonus tiles." What's the wrong thing? I don't always put a farm on a farm bonus tile. Why would this be the wrong thing? Long term or short term strategy? I'm guessing that difficulty may play a role in the randomness of using them, but since you aren't supposed to "know" the AI's intent (except via scouting, research,

First off, the MX is the "cost efficient" card for your wallet. Not necessarily for your computer. Secondly, yes, PCI is going to be slower (and shared bus). It's VERY possible that your motherboard has a solid performing integrated chip but that its 3D processing will slow down. PCIe cards are not backward compatible as far as I know. Even if it was, you'd cry at trying to use a card that powerful on a motherboard. --- My advice. Don't buy any nVidia

The mx series is for those who want the name without the features. I believe it will run on that card, although it is severely outdated and you should consider at least upgrading to a newer GeForce4 card. Given that the GeForce7 is out ... it shouldn't be very expensive these days. The GeForce2 MX400 (my grandma's computer had one) isn't a really strong game card to begin with.

Reply to Goofy dialog. in Game Talk

This has been brought up before and dialog can be modified (from my understanding). Good news for those of you who want to create different discussion. I rather like the tongue-in-cheek conversation.

Welcome to not always getting your way. I had the trade route restriction in a game, but I wasn't evil so it didn't effect me. The starbase one would really hurt me in my current game since I'm only a small portion of the galaxy and have been hounded by the Altarians and their blackmailing ways.

If you set a prereq to impossible tech, what's that do to later techs in that same branch?

I believe the use of the cup with the 2 wavy lines representing steam are Sun's TM'd logo for the java/hotjava - but the color and tilted scheme aren't quite what I'm used to seeing. Even so, simply coloring it different wouldn't be considered fair use for someone else to utilize as a separate trademark (as far as I know).

That technology branch is the beginning of your research into warfare (ground and space) as well as the offense and defensive branches you may utilize. You'll find the game to be quite fun and some of the mods to have advanced past their initial mock-ups to full interactive realms. I'm currently using the Babylon 5 mod myself and the additional movie add-ins.

I park my troops and such on a nearby starbase with defenses in case of attack.

I've seen stores like Farm & Fleet and Big Lots selling this for $4.99 or $5.99 on their clearance rack. It beats paying for shipping + bid on Ebay or hitting a Shopko/Target/GameStop/Best Buy store for a copy that's still higher priced. It's a really slow game compared to GalCivII and isn't nearly as enjoyable. However, it does provide a slightly different experience & uses starlanes. I don't recommend going out of your way to buy it, but, it does complete the collecti

When it's listing something weird, I click to set the planet to another one of the production specs (military / social / research) and then back. This forces an update of the figures. Same thing you're doing with leaving the planet and coming back.

Once you have final tweaks done, you can create charts and such in a document program and include that as a readme (or use PrimoPDF) to create a pdf file for people to print for reference. Keep it up - I was enjoying the mod until my hard drive died from heat exhaustion (well, it was extremely hot when I had to remove it).

Would seem to me that it would be more of an exploit if you could form a large alliance, turn off alliance victory, thus forcing the AI to refuse alliance - thus potentially being a loner in a galaxy with one huge allied fleet bearing down. Now what happens if that loner is removed? Should the AI again rethink itself and say, "There is no longer a loner out there and thus victory is impossible given the current state of things ... I must attempt to go it alone!" I'm not sure what
