The game itself plays as it should through Firefox, but when I start it with Steam, the Title does not show on the opening page. Strange. The game itself plays correctly though. Only 3-6% of computers in the US are estimated to be infected. I'm not sure about Canada, but I expect that the rate is similar. There is a very simple and fast way to know whether or not your computer is infected. Simply reboot into "safe mode". Conficker C prevents this, so if you can do it, you're fine.

I'm a little surprised that no one has mentioned the fact that you can take the +hitpoint modules that some races can research, slap them on a cargo hull, and have the strongest ship in the game- long before any of the larger hulls are available.

Hi Whismerhill et al: Does this apply to any (home) versions of XP, or is it only for pro/media? Reading through the pdf seems to imply any version, but I would like to be sure. I've been thinking about changing my avatar, to one that would be more relevant across the various Stardock forums. I have noticed that the size has been increased. Does anyone know what the size (in pixels) is now, and are there any freeware progs that will let me modify the size of my chosen pic to fit?

Huzzah! Finally an official announcement. If you aren't excited now about this game, then you should be. The idea behind this game has been simmering in Frogboy's mind for years. There are bits and pieces that were coded for other projects that will just now be implemented. I believe that this will be Stardock's masterpiece.

I'm a little confused. The title of your post says that you are using 32bit, but the body of your reply implies that you are using 64bit. If you are using XP, then only the PRO version will allow you to address 3gig, and you can do this at 32 bit.
