I've a similar Q. I'm the same as danilo1956 in that I have no net access at home, only at work. I downloaded the 1.2 .exe, ran it. Now whenever I try to open GCII the programme tries to email Stardoc or connect to Stardock. So I can't play. Well, this is my own experience. When I tried to play without activation bin, I got a activation requ

In theory, you need to activate the produce only once: the sig.bin file shoudln't be deleted by the next update. BTW, the sig.bin file contains informations related to your computer. So you may need to get a new one if you upgrade your computer. So, if I correctly understood, when I'll take the 1.3 I'll be ready to play using my previousl

Just a little question. I haven't a connection at home, only at work. When I updated to 1.2 I got a sig.bin by e.mail. My q. is: can I use the same activation file after the installation of the next update or there's the need for another one? Many tnxs for any reply. Danilo Rome - Italy

... Well,I tried to obtain another sig.bin but I received the following: "Stardock Email Activation Unsuccessful. Hello. The activation email you sent to [email protected] has had a problem while parsing and was unable to generate a sig.bin file. Any help will be really appreciate as I can't upgrade the game. Why the previous sig.bin do not work on my pc after format&reinstall? Why I can't get again the activation file? (of co

It should be noted that all celestial bodies are considered to rotate clockwise. As I know, in our solar system, the planets' revolution motion and their rotation is ACW, not CW.

Hi all. My problem is that I have not a web connection at home, but I have a connection at office. As I understood, the 1.20 beta can be performed only online. There's a way to get a installation file to upgrade the game offline? Many tnx for any advice/help/reply. Danilo

I found a similar problem when I upgraded to 1.1 version. When I 'm ready to upgrade a ship (after reseaching a new weapon, for example), I always find that the actual version of the ship is shown without any weapon or optional drive engine or other components. Only the crude hull. Again, ther's no more (in 1.1 version), under the 3D model, the graphical list of all components added to the ship that you can click-select to remove/modify. Ciao. Danilo

In reply to No118: ok. Fixed a certai direction, I can see (in GalCiv2) the planets rotating in a certain direction while the orbitating moon "fly" in the other direction. That fact, in my modest opinion, cannot be true, apart very few exceptions, not only in the solar system, but as a general rule. Ciao. Danilo

here are few pics showing what I mean, obtained from a simulator (Celestia). from pic1 to pic3 we can see Io transit in fron of Jupiter from left to right, while Jupiter itself rotate around its axis in the same direction. danilo

Not sure, but I think there is an astronomical explanation (related to the born of the star systems) that can explain why the rotation and revolution motions are related. Apart from the exceptions I underlined in my previous post, I think that the two motions shold be both anticlockwise or both clockwise. Our solar system "chose" the anticlockwise direction. Other star systems could show the other "configuration" but I think it is NOT possible (in a systematic way, like shown in GalCiv2) that

Hi all. I saw that planet rotation (motion around the NS axis) and the moon revolution (motion around the planet) is not correct. All two motions shoud be (for most of astronomical bodies in the solar system) anticlockwise. Only few exceptions are probably due to erratic very minor bodies captured by mayor planets. Any chance to fix this issue? (sorry for my poor english) Danilo - Italy
