After a year playing GalCiv2 I thought I will try out the DreadLord campaign. And so I started it, but ... on what drugs was Stardock when creating the campaign? I mean its just ROFL. Whats the point of losing tech, whats the point to revert the time? Its just plain stupid. I reinveted the same techs in 3 missions, 3 times the time got back from 2230 to 2220, wow. But what realy kills me are the Dread Lords. I got the reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly great hint to "avoid" them, how an I supposted to

custom maps themselves, I edited a map in an text editor giving it some special attributes like in the customplanet.xml and it seemed to work, but the builder cant do that the main issue is still the problem with too many habitable worlds. Im sick of adding class 0 worlds to the map, to add planets with moons and rings as the editor cant create them randomly. dont misunderstand me, the gc2builder is a nice editor, but its far away from being complete, there is way too much

Actualy you can create complete starsystems with 1 to 5 planets, with range of 3 to 5, defined by the star and planet section, the randomness is given by your setting, but I still have a problem with the builder. It keeps creating way too many habitable 10+ worlds and too many pq1-4 worlds, there is like 99% of the galaxy habitable, thats boring. Second problem, custom planets are not random with the planet graphics. All habitable worlds are terran like, are 0 worlds are jupiter like, there is n

I have the same problem, in any game, some civs are siting on their buts doing absolutely nothing. From game to game its different which civs are hit by this "problem".

I have had a microsoft wireless keyboard with the problem, then I switched to a logitech wireless keyboard, same problem. Updating the keyboard drivers fixed the problem.

On loading a save game, just the base influece surrounding a planet is shown. In the next turn the correct value is "computed" and shown. That actualy happens "normaly" It happened to me now 8times, that the influence was not "computed" right. After the 10th turn the game still shows only the base influence. This starts to be annoying.

the manual is wrong, the correct sizes is what you get on creation (5, 8, 18 ²)

I like the GC2 races too and wont change them. I needed a TON of imagination for all the un-humanoid ascendancy races. It just dont cut in. Btw, the pre-poster said it, would you REALY like to talk to an amorphous blob anytime you chat with the other civs? I know I wouldnt.

I just have had a nice race with another civs colony ship. We headed for a system with a pq5 and a px19 planet. Unfortunately the AI arrived first, but because the PQ5 planet was one smal square (parsec?)near, the Torians colonied this world and I could still get the pq19. This is not just about the Torians, any civilization do this. Btw, I also run a lot of times into system where low class planets are already colonized, but high class planets are not. Sometimes when a system have 4 low and
