ok, I had noticed that strangely I only had one habitable planet in my system and I have the debug. however I searched for the others homesystems and saw that it was me (as the Yor), the Thalans, and the Altarians are missing thier second habitable world in thier home system.

kewlness! also, what about putting the new fleet formations from the example mod into the main game folder, how should I do that properly and should I delete the old ones that are currently in the fleets folder? although it could be a better idea to move them into a backup folder.
I just click skip for the battle screen and there is an option to not show the battles. they don't neccesarily have to change the buttons that are on the bottom of the battlescreen viewer. and yea there will always be some ppl figuring out ways around an AI, no matter how good it is. it's just human nature and the limitations of the AI. and unlike Rome: Total War, the AI has to deal with moving in all directions.
+ Selected ship displays an animated line showing where its destination is. + Option now to display an animated dotted line showing where your selected ship is going. - display is too hard to see, need to make contrast and brightness improvement. Especially for the high resolution displays. + Constructors will display what area of effect a starbase woul
well I agree that the battle screen could be made to look more realistic, more like something you'd see in Star Wars or Battleship Galacta. I'm not for something as realistic as in a movie, I mean that they move tactically and not drift all over the place.
Core ships are not good. Go by the hull sizes, tiny would usually be fighters, small would be corvettes and medium would be cruisers. You even get an in game movie when you roll out your first medium hull ship. small ships can also be heavy fighters, large hulls would be the destroyers, the huge hulls would be the battleships and the capital sh
yea, you can manually adjust an opponents intelligence level, although its either doing it manually and the difficulty level changes to reflect the overall difficulty you are creating or just go and change the difficulty level and the intelligence changes accordingly. in short, yes you can manually change the opponents intelligence to different levels in a new game.
even though I do play the civ series which has MP capability, I've never done MP with that and so I honestly don't really care about MP in turn based games and probably wouldn't do MP even if it was included.
I am, however, surprised at how poorly multiplayer did. I thought it would be at least #2. Maybe multiplayer didn't do so well because we're all getting used to the single player only style and would like additional features to support that more than multiplayer... Or most of us figure we've pushed so hard for multiplayer that it will be a feature no matter wha
I had autosave off, so I dunno why it froze, and it could be because I clicked too fast. whatever it was, it was a fluke for me.
and I admit to doing ctrl+N several times

well this is wierd and has never happened to me before, the game was going along just fine and suddendly the game just froze and I did ctrl alt delete and it came up as not responding so I shut down the program. it may have been some wierd fluke,
I added a little more from the last couple turns of the game, I gifted a troop carrier to the drengin and it moved just fine. also, the AI seems to have a problem with not recognizing when a planets starport is full, as I can see by the numerous cannot build orders. I've encountered this bug where the ships that were gifted by an AI to another AI, in this case the Yor to the Drengin, and those ships have not moved in a long time.
I have notepad, and I didn't know I could just open it with that, so. ok
/bump to get it to show up
since I can't view XML for some reason (and I don't know how to anyway), can someone tell me whats new in the InvTactics.xml, Anomalies.xml, and events.xml? because if theres anything cool in them, I could put them in the normal game files like someone said I could do with the fleet formations stuff? and secondly, when I move the new fleet formations stuff into the main game files, should I delete the old ones or does it not really matter?
oh I think I see my problem, I have 'only show fleet battles if both sides are fleets' checked. THAT must be what it is. edit: yep, that was my problem.
yea, that does sound wierd because if the AI is set to intelligent, they shouldn't make those stupid moves.

I'm also having a strange thing in relation to ship battles. I have yet to see more than 2 ships in a battle, so even if I have a fleet of say two ships and I attack a planet, it'll just show a quick animation of the explosions, no battle vid screen rather than show both ships in my fleet and the defending ship. same thing with space battles, if I have a fleet of say 3 ships and I attack a fleet of one, it does the same thing as above most of the time. Sometimes it does this when atta

the way to quote someone for something JJ is by putting brackets around the word quote.. [ ] I usually use the highlight and the quote button thing, but for some reason I was unable to do it like that, and I had forgotten what the code was at that moment for quot
