Frankly I think expanding on stargate technology would be great...after all, that technology did come before the fusion engines did. Atlanta, you did a good job of imaging what that would be like. Get this though...what about wormhole stability technologies? Perhaps higher on the stargate tech tree, you can build starbases next to wormhole anomalies and make them permanent gateways between you and another part of the universe. Maybe it's just me--or maybe not, because I've seen a few posts concerning this general topic--but in the upcoming expansion, it would be nice if Stardock created "more space stuff" for a lack of a better term. Nebulas would be a great addition. I once played a trekkie game where different nebulas affected ships in different ways. Just to get the idea off the ground, we could make areas of sensor blindness where entire fleets could hide, waiting to pounce on a nearby planet. "Badland

Cool, the stable wormhole thing. I commented on this awhile back. We could eventually add new techs to stabilize wormholes. You know what would be cool in patches? User hull designs (not associated with copywrited series/movies, etc.) I'd love to see new user-created hulls...something to hold us over until they release the expansion. --T.C.

Random anamolies are a great idea onomastikon! In my opinion, anamolies should be a continuous occurance and should appear throughout the duration of gameplay, never allowing a loss in that element of fun because you run out of static anamolies to find. In fact it could be a game option: Static anamolies vs. continuous occurance anamolies. I don't know if this problem is unique to me or what, but for some wierd reason I cannot upgrade my starbases. Even after I research module after module, there are no upgrade module options given in the menu of the starbase I select. Did I forget to research a vital tech!? Is there something I'm missing here?
