Is there a way to set spies to just gather information without sabotaging any improvement?

Actually, the Dread Lords don't colonise. So make sure they don't get any planets by invasion, especially well developed ones. Destroy all the improvements or the colony if you are going to lose it soon. Dread Lord ships are very expensive, with no shipbuilding base, they can't generate ships fast enough to overwhelm you.
You can buy EU retail in Singapore, if you care to fly over. Costs about S$39.90 I think, which is about US$26. UE is S$49.90.
But it is really silly to keep wasting money on such ships when I have an attack ship parked permanently outside their planet. The AI should save the money and rush build an attack ship to quickly get rid of my ship. At least they have a better chance of survival. I digress, but is it useful to build large ships with plenty of defenses and no attack? This ship will absorb the damage and hopefully survive 300 rounds to win by default.
But working for more than 1 company at the same time? If some programmer works on both Civ4 and GalCiv2 at the same time, you can be sure to see more similarities between the two.
I only have one Escape_Endgame save file. I even tried the autosave file and won the game, but still no ending movie, only the credits.
What's the defense bonus for ships in orbit? In DA first mission, the AI repeatedly builds Defender ships with 0 attack and 0 defense and puts them in orbit. How does this help them?
Do I just extort money whenever I speak with other civs? Can I extort techs, ships or treaties instead? Will their relations with me decrease after the extortation? How much money can I successfully extort at one time?
DosBox takes care of the music, resolution and other stuff. You can basically just run it on default settings and your dos program will work fine.
Yes, same guy. Isn't there some law preventing the exchange of trade secrets between 2 similar companies? How can you work for 2 software games companies and not inadvertently leak some secrets?
I reloaded the Escape_Endgame, win the mission again and still I don't see any outro movie, only the credits. This is on DL v1.52.
But he was working for Firaxis and now for EA, is he allowed to be consultant for another company?
There are a lot of cool movies in the movie directory which are not seen when playing the DL campaigns. Even the DL_Campaign_Outro is not seen in the campaign even though it looks like the ending movie for the DL campaign. Is there a bug linking the movies to the campaign?
What did he contribute for GalCiv2?
Actually the Tir-Quan are just an off-shoot of the Ur-Quan from Star Control.
Any idea?
2. You should be able to start the campaign again and quit or "lose" the default missions to get the alternates.
Yes, I can instant lose the mission but how do I instant win a mission to get to the next one? I don't want to replay the default must-win missions again.
Has anybody compiled a table showing the size, cost, damage, and tech cost for each of the different weapon types? Based on limited experience, I can only say that DL missiles are cheaper from a cost-per-damage and size-per-damage perspective and also it is faster to get more damaging missiles, but beam weapons have the smallest size per individual weapon. Mass drivers should be in-between I think.
1. Does the planetary defense improvement increase the defense of ships in orbit or improve land defense also? If ships have zero defense, then this improvement has no effect? 2. How do I play the alternate missions in DL campaigns after I have already won the default missions?
So as a rule of thumb, all I need to do is make sure that my combined attack power is higher than the enemy's defense, and that my highest attack units have either high defense or high HPs. As long as these conditions are met, it doesn't really matter whether I use fleets or not.
And then imagine my surprise several turns later when I discover you cannot bomb a planet from orbit. "what? I have to develop troops??"
Yes, this is not Master of Orion. Get Planetary Defenses quickly if you want to invade, The good thing about this is that there is a time window when nobody can do any planetary invasions in the early game, giving you some time to build up.
If opponent is using defenses, you use fleets big enough to remove defenses and deal some hull damage each combat round to one of his ships (e.g. he's using ships with Y attack and 20 defenses. You have ships that have 10 attack and X defenses. You put three such ships in a fleet. First two remove his defenses, the third does hull damage).
I thought the 3 ships will use their combined attack value (assuming sing
But I can steal the most powerful weaponry from enemies. I think that really turns the tables on the enemy, especially the dreadlords.
I think that leases should be used at the beginning to maximise turn advantage. For example, if you can only afford 1000 credits, you can spend 1000 credits to rushbuy an improvement or spend 700 credits to rushbuy the improvement and spend the remaining 300 credits on rushbuying a ship. You get one extra ship at the expense of lease payments. If the ship is a colony ship, you get 1 extra planet earlier.
The wiki is referring to countering enemy fleets with a single ship. When should I use a fleet myself? I would think that if the enemy has low firepower, don't use fleets as you will get more destroyed ships (small/medium). Large or Huge hulls should not have this problem.
