The Ranger ship is coded into the ShipCFG file - there is one for every race S0_Ranger, S1_Ranger, etc. S0_Corvette, S1_Corvette etc. for each race... A simple mod can change this, but at this time its basically hard coded that it shares one file, so the hull will always be the same... Maybe the Devs can make it so there is a S0_Ranger1, S0_Ranger2, S0_Ranger3, etc and it would randomly select one of the ShipCfg that have *_Ranger*.shipcfg in it.

i'll try that, I think its linked to my Vista issue though....VISTA CAN BLOW CHUNKS! It copies the old version of files even after I SAVE AS them, and try to copy it to another location, it makes modding a painful experience at times. I'll try deleting all three though Nasty thanks!

So, what are the updates/fixes for DA 1.80g???
Okay, feel foolish having to ask this, but my Mod Directory is still reading all my old mods after I have deleted them all from my computer, also have ran several optimizers, cleaned all temp files, and freed up ram as well as restarted computer, how can I clear this up so it only reads the current files in that mod folder?

Just wanted to make sure I understood it correctly, currently the mod we have has over 60 races and want to make sure it will read them all :-) i know they are all in there, just wanted to make sure the programming would randomly choose from all of them, and not just the top 36 races.... my second thought now is how do you get it to put in 36 races all at once into a game....hmmm...
Thanks Cari, follow up question if you will.... Max total of players in the galaxy is 36....does that mean that the raceconfig file will ignore any RaceId after 35? (starting at 0 - 35) or does that mean there is potential to get 36 races actually in one game, but the RaceConfig may contain 40 and it will randomly select the minors that make it in??
We're making it compatible for TotA after the official TotA is released. We've "rushed" to put things out right on time, and have seen too many mods (our own included) not fully take advantage of what the new system has to offer, or be filled with unexpected and unknowable bugs. Ask Kryo, he's good at that and was able to make it so his mod worked in Metaverse, we havne't really tried, I THINK it can be done, but I'm not 100% sure, I think what you would need to do is name everything to just overwrite the models the game uses, and make sure nothing you have is different than what is in stock DA as far as balancing goes, so no new techs, no altered ships or stats, and I think for example if we had a model named S0_Large_Excelsior.x it would have to be changed everywhere

So, just how many minor races can you have in a game? Please? Anyone? I thought you could have a total of 84 (100 - 12 Majors - 1 Custom - 1 Dreadlords - 1 Pirate - 1 for all {S99}) I figured since the numbers started reading at S0 and carried through to S99 that it would allow for up to 100 races total Minor/Major/Pirates - Is this not true? I know it seems to be obsurd, 84 minor races, I don't really want that many, but I would like a lot even though the max per game is 8, it adds variety (gi
