the latest drivers for some reason are worse than the newer ones. You have a point there lionmonkey, in a perfect world newer drivers should be better, but bugs are everywhere and the newest drivers sometimes make things worse. It's always best to try a few versions and also look on the tech forums for input about problems with different releases. Anyway, glad you've got it sorted.
MarcusCardiff
MarcusCardiff, there are those of us who like to explore the game before getting into serious game play. We all have different ideas of Fun. True Sarissi, I just find I lose interest quickly if I use trainers.
Thats good, It would be a shame if you couldn't enjoy your new game. Marcus.
Thanks for clearing that up Iztok, You learn summit new and that. More accurately then, there are no realistic limits unless you're an obsessive/compulsive and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
This is a very good idea, Slow tech makes for very slow games and isn't as wide ranging as this mod. I especially like the idea of things settling down to a faster pace later in the game.
There are no set turn limits, the game continues until any of the selected victory conditions are achieved. There are four victory conditions, Military, Research, Alliance and Influence. Only Military victory is obligatory the other three are optional.
the kyro hull system mod is great. But my advice is look through the library and see what you like. Just back up properly and yo can remove them with no problems.
Thanks too for the comment about my goats. You know, they make great pets, too! But do they make good burgers?
Why don't you take it back to the store and demand one with a serial. else you will have to wait till at least monday, Support isn't open weekends.
From what you say, This may not technically be a "scam" but it is definitely blatant Exploitation and Profiteering, Almost to the point of extortion. I don't know whether Indeo is installed separately, (If that is the software being charged for) If so, you might get away with just blocking that access to the internet. Either way surely your user license for whatever should be covered in the original price for the game, To come back now and try and charge you is a disgrace and deserves
RAM's purpose is to be used--if it isn't, it's going to waste. Personally I've never been happy to use memory freeing utilities, It has always struck me as a bit of a botch fix. IMO, some third party app interfering with the system memory can do nothing but cause problems, If I start to run out of RAM, I simply buy more. I just hope this fixes your issues. When you get your new 2Gb I suggest you remove the original 1Gb and see if the problem persists
What you seem to be asking is, Why did you make this game so well?, Why did you bother designing pleasing Graphics and animations? Why implement a varied and easily used gui? Why did you bother doing all this when a bunch of text files would have suited me? Well maybe that would have suited you, But I can assure you, you're probably alone.
Glad to be of help. Good luck with your next game. Cheers, I'll need it.
Thanks Mistralok, I am comfortable using the registry. and the number matches the one stardock sent me, just not the one held on this site I have solved the Meta problem, It took restoring an image from before I installed Stardock Central and fully reinstalling galciv2. I don't know if they've done anything in support as I reinstalled galciv before and it didn't work. but at least I can sign into the meta now. So I can't say I'm too bothered with the incorrect serial held on this si
Deleted due to better answer.
How about the option to threaten the AI, I've been waiting a long time to be able to tell it go get those warships out of my space or remove all the economy/influence starbases it seems to put in at random. It does it to me, so why can't I threaten it? This would be good if it could be worked, but it must be a biatch to program. What parameters would the AI use to determine a fair response, and how far would it reach. eg. " you're economic Capital is mak
I keep my unique techs very well guarded. Unless you plan on killing them with a surprise attack in the same turn.
This is off topic, but related... I have a large DVD collection (all legit). I love movies, lol. The thing that's really annoying to me, is to have to sit through those anti-piracy messages every time I put a movie on. So true. In my opinion, MOIISKA isn't very bright. **Phew** Luckily for me, no one is asking for your opinion where my brightness/or lack-there-of is concerned.
I got a warning that they were about to get a technology victory Erm. Can minor races win? Ps they're mostly puppets.
Especially when I try and sign into the meta from the game. I have had many communications with support and still no resolution. They insist that the serial on record is mine, even though when I look in registrations, under "my account" it's a completely different number , I guess it's difficult for the support team to access this site and allow changes. Ive even sent screenshots , but that doesn't seem to matter. No evidence helps, no amount of argument helps, Pleas
YMMV? Never seen that before.
Actually, they both appear in the campaigns list for DA now. Nice idea, Hope it gets fixed soon.
This might also be helpful: https://www.stardock.helpserve.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=478&nav=0,52,53,55 Good link Yarlen, Loads more info.
If you start Stardock Central, go into games , click on Dark Avatar (Expansion) then click install, it will install DA in the correct place automatically and it should work fine.
Thanks kryo, I will try support again, Maybe this time I can get it resolved .
