.Net Framework Backwards Compatibility

Is it backwards compatible?

Basically I need to know if I can Remove (Add/Remove Programs) the .Net Frameworks 1.0, 1.0(Patch), 1.1 and Patch, 2.0, and just keep 3.0

As is, the older versions are takeing up half a gig of memory.

Can't hurt to try and see. Worst case, something doesn't work afterwards and you have to reinstall them.
