+1 for Opera. It has the most configurable user interface of any current generation browser. Frankly, if you're used to IE6 then you'll find any other browser to be a bit of a learning experience.
option to make all your ships move at once... turns take too long on huge maps.
What I do is zoom right in to an empty part of space while the turn is happening. Anything off-screen happens at the same time.
Easier map zooming! Have the map zoom in on mousewheel scroll wherever the pointer happens to be, not in the middle of the screen like it is now. Zooming, then moving the map to centre in on the action is a chore. Supreme Commander has this behavior if an example is needed, though I'm sure you all already know that. Everyone will love it
Hey guys Here's how my most recent game went: http://www.boredomistan.com/2007/september/galactic_civilizations_2/ Enjoy!
Played Supreme Commander yet? Of course you have. For 1.7 you guys should really steal the way that Supreme Commander zooms in, i.e. zooms in to where ever the cursor happens to be. Zooming out, grabbing the screen, moving it, zooming in, and then grabbing the screen again to move it to the exact spot I want makes my wrist sad. It's a nice, cheap feature that will get a thumbs up from everyone!
I can see this thread turning into a browser pissing contest pretty quickly, so I'll add my two cents before it gets too long for anyone to bother reading. Get Opera! It's rock solid and insanely customisable. Get Opera! This dll issue that Mumblefratz gets is almost certainly an IE6 and below issue. Like every IE6 issue, there is an army of overfrustrated web devs out there who must find a work around for it. Can you give a particular thread
Permanent wormholes would be very cool
I don't think farms should provide a morale bonus. Farms allow for a bigger population, which brings with it overpopulation and therefore lower morale. Adding a morale bonus to farms takes away the only downside. In peacetime, the best reason to have a very populated planet is to rake in the tax dollars. Pop in a couple of Galactic Stock Exchanges and you've got even more money as well as your morale bonus. Also, I don't see a way of fixing the Galactic Guide Book, I think it s
Those tech descriptions are great. Get a life.
Because I'm going for a big phat metaverse score

I have been through the forums looking for an answer to this and all I can find are nonanswers. Can the AI win with a tech victory? I am interested because there is an AI in my current game currently researching Technological Victory. They're 59 weeks away so I can still do something about it if I target their research planets, but I need to start that now IF they can win through tech victory. I'd preferably like to hear from people who have lost via tech victory.
LOEL!!! hai guyz i totalley agree with u OMG You are a goose of the highest order. I don't know how the Stardock people sleep at night knowing that people like you are free to play their game.
This was in a game with no Terrans.
